Surprisingly, Riri was quite the fun character in this volume! In no way have I liked the imp in this series, but there were some funny shenanigans between the imp and Anzu that did make this volume a little more exciting than the beginning led me to believe. Volume 2 absolutely delivered as many laughs and a nicely progressing storyline from volume 1. The introduction of two new characters was interesting and funny. One thing this series does really well is depict friendships, and gosh darn do I ever enjoy that. This volume gets a little wordy at times, and the speech bubble placement for who is talking and when is not the clearest set up, but this book oozes character and makes me easily forget the layout flaws. I love how it has taken rather one note type stereotypes of characters and made them something more through the relationships they build. Love love love the family dynamic being set up between Junta, Anzu, and Kazuki. One is that Netflix has a good history of renewing its original anime series. Shows like 7 Seeds, Aggretsuko, and Baki have all received multiple seasons. Another is that the Romantic Killer ending is far from conclusive — on the contrary, it actively sets up a second season with much higher stakes.

So that mostly leaves Kazuki, but there’s absolutely nothing done with him this volume except a brief bit at the start with his sister. I definitely disliked the latest guy we meet. I noticed I sort of skimmed over his parts because I just didn't care for his actions or general attitude, no matter how hard he "changed" to get to know Anzu by the end. If I wanted to see more of a "new character," then please give us more Junta as I genuinely like his character. I can honestly say that he fits a lot of the cliche childhood friend tropes, but rather than it being "annoying," it's enduring. Love the concept of this manga it is super cute and funny read! Feel like vol 2 is still in the like stage building portion so nothing progressed to much but still super looking forward to future volumes. Recommend if you are are looking for a fun humorous new series to start!

Riri makes a point about their meddling helping Anzu have good times she might otherwise never have had, regardless of the romance angle, which, as a perspective, is coming in a bit late in the game. Despite her best efforts, Anzu’s harem keeps growing at an alarming rate. Practically at the same rate that her personal space dwindles around her, coincidentally. And despite her other best efforts, she might be starting to like the changes to her life. And, despite Riri’s “best” efforts, love could be in the air… I just finished it. An I am so hooked. If you are making a season 2, as i hope. Then i think Tsukasa shoud date Anzu because they need eathother if you know what i mean. And the first season was so romantic when Anzu protected Tsukasa and the other way. Please make a season 2.?
