About this deal

When it comes to runtime, Olight is clearly ahead. For example, their all-new Baton 3 pro has an impressive runtime of 150 days in the lowest mode. Fenix, on the flip side, varies between the 100-150 hours range. But 120 days or close is yet to be achieved. Of course you will need batteries and chargers to keep your flashlight running so we provide a comprehensive selection of only the best quality Li-ion cells and chargers as well as a range of tools, survival equipment and other essential gadgets. The PD35 is a bit larger and heavier than the E35, measuring 5.4 inches in length and weighing 3.1 ounces (without battery). While this difference is not huge, it may be a factor for those looking for a smaller EDC flashlight.

In this section, I will share this flashlight’s important aspects in detail. Almost every expert recommends the Fenix PD35 v3.0. That is because of its quality. Materials: The outgoing model was made out of durable, high-strength, and oxidation-resistant 6061 aluminum, and the new model is made out of even stronger A6061-T6 aluminum (which also seems to be the standard for all new higher-end Fenix flashlights). The crystal clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating helps the flashlight deliver brighter light than other Fenix lights in this price range.

Each time the light is turned on, the battery level indicator will automatically display the battery status for 3 seconds. According to the ANSI / PLATO FL1 standard, the battery life refers to the time from 30 seconds after the flashlight switch is turned on until the light output reaches 10% of the initial value. The Fenix E35 is a compact, powerful, and versatile flashlight. Designed for everyday carry (EDC), outdoor enthusiasts, and emergency situations, the E35 is a reliable companion for those who require a reliable source of light. Pros of the Fenix E35

A battery level indicator will automatically display the battery status for 3 seconds each time the torch is turned on if you are using a 18650 lithium-ion battery. Constant green indicates a full charge, green flashes is sufficient charge, red constant is poor battery level and red flashes indicates critical battery level and that the battery should be charged as soon as possible. But, according to Fenix, with onboard charging circuitry, it wouldn’t have been possible to make it water-resistant and light in weight. The Fenix PD35 tac v3 uses an SFT40 LED, which provides cool white light. The SFT40 provides the same lifespan as most of the tactical series’ led does but with better lumens. The light memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe. When turned on again the previously used output of general mode will be recalled. A:Yes, PD35R is rechargeable with a USB Type-C. The charging time is about 3 hours. (The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.)Then again, the PD35 V3.0 has a type-B port and that’s why it takes almost 4 hours to charge the battery. In 2022, a type-B port isn’t acceptable in my opinion. Like its predecessors, the PD35 V3.0 runs on a single 18650 or two CR123A lithium primaries. The light came with Fenix’s ARB-L18-2600U, which is a 2600 mAh cell with over and under discharge, reverse polarity, and overheat protection. The ‘U’ signifies integrated charging. The discharge rating isn’t listed, but it came in with a lower internal resistance than my 3100 mAh ThruNite and Acebeam protected 18650s. This is a button top battery, and (unlike some others) it’s not proprietary, so you can use any 18650 you want as long as it fits. The PD35 is built to withstand tough conditions, with its aircraft-grade aluminum body and hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish. It is also IPX8-rated for water resistance, which means it can be submerged in water without sustaining damage. A third upgrade to the popular PD35, the V3.0 offers an improved runtime and beam distance plus a crenulated bezel for emergency use. The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the light directly into anyone’s eyes.

One great example of this lighting modes aspect is the Fenix LR40R which features 11 lighting modes. On the other hand, Olight’s X9R features nine lighting modes. Fenix PD35 is a futuristic light. It’s light in weight and smaller in size and it’s super easy to carry in any situation. So, here is the specification of this flashlight. Using thePD35 V2.0 is pretty much the same experience as using the earlier model, but with everything slightly improved and refined.

Balancing the weight and dimensions promotes handling convenience. But how many flashlight users think about the carrying convenience? Olight, on the other hand, uses CW LED. The new model Olight Baton 3 and Baton 3 Pro are examples of that.

The PD35 V3.0 is an 18650 size tube light, and comparable to the Sofirn SC31T in dimensions and weight. LED: The old model used Cree XP-L HI V3 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours. The new model uses Luminus SFT40 LED, which also has a lifespan of 50,000 hours, but it’s more powerful. Fenix added a protection board to the battery and therefore makes it too long for 99% of the battery chargers currently on the market. Thus you have to charge it inside the light! (Extra safety).

TECHNICAL PARAMETER

Battery Level Indication Each time the light is turned on the indicator in the functional side switch will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds. For Medium mode, I hunkered down and just let it run, and run…and run. I knew it would last a long time with ridiculously consistent output and that’s what I got. The test started at 158 Lumens, and didn’t change much over the next 10 hours. The output didn’t drop below 150 Lumens until 10 hours 18 minutes in when LVP started intervening and dropped the output to 54 Lumens, then down to 4 Lumens 5 minutes later. The output dropped to under 3 Lumens at 15 hours 43 minutes, and the light shut off at 15 hours 51 minutes 15 seconds. Fenix specs only 8 hours 30 minutes for the runtime, so I don’t know where they got that figure? Heat was not an issue and the light barely went over ambient temperature. So, earlier I used Fenix PD35 v2.0. The max output was 1000 lumen, and the max coverage was around 250 meters. This latest upgrade is the biggest leap yet with a higher output of 1700 lumens from the updated Luminus SFT40 LED and the inclusion of a USB rechargeable Fenix ARB-L18-2600U 18650 lithium-ion battery. As well as the new LED it is also fitted with a small calibre metallic smooth surface reflector which provides around an increase in beam distance to provide 357 metres beam range.
