When Spotlight and Blackout were ambushed by Pain-Yatta's candy soldiers, both Knight Light and Knight Mare came to aid their fellow allies after they contacted the two Trap Masters prior to coming to the Arkeyan ruins. With these characters, the Light element is currently the only element with an equal amount of male and female Skylanders. Despite their "Dark" title, the Dark Edition Skylanders and most of the Dark Edition Vehicles are not included in this element, as they are already associated with other Elements.

He is the second villain of the Light element to appear in an adventure pack level, the first being Lob Goblin. He decides to also release the Doom Raiders and he convinces them that the Skylanders were using them and forced them to become good guys, even though they have already been redeemed. Inflicts 10% of ATK as damage to 1 enemy, and grants the [Electric Shock] Effect for 2 turn(s) with a 50% chance when you attack accurately. Nightshade, Dreamcatcher and Luminous are the only Doom Raiders who are not involved in any part of Skylanders: SuperChargers (if not counting Skystones Overdrive). Krankcase attempted to enter the race and win despite being in a clear advantage over the Mabu children.

In Skylanders: Trap Team "The Discovery Trailer", the Ultimate Kaos Trap prototype appeared to have no silver printed markings and Kaos element icon, and has a slightly hollowed-in forehead symbol. He also possesses the ability to shapeshift, which helps him disguise his voice to match the one he has taken the form of. Similar to Dark Edition Skylanders switching to the Dark element, These Light elemental Skylanders may be based on the LightCore Skylanders as Flashwing, Hex and Jet Vac have LightCore figures. Chompy Mage is easily one of our favourite villains (and can be caught in the Starter Pack's life trap too! And while trapping each villain is in no way essential to finishing the game, the fact each one has a little quest associated with them in the game does make you want to 'trap em all'.

However, in Imaginators, two male Skylanders were added, making the majority male, like in all other elements. Once he did, Tessa decided that since Woodburrow no longer has a king, he could keep the crown and maybe put it to good use. Once all of the the seals were unlocked, Luminous revealed his true identity to the Skylander once they had reached inside Tricked You Tower.There are new Giants, SWAP Force, LightCore Skylanders, Minis, and of course, tons of core Skylanders.
