Three highly illustrated, hilarious stories about a group of kids and their adventures during the fifteen minutes of Little Lunch. These are enhanced by the numerous black and white illustrations, not to mention words emphasized in larger and very black font. One is about a boy whose grandmother, his yaya, keeps making Greek food that he refuses to eat, until he find out that it is actually good, and then he eats it.

It brings into the discussion interpersonal relationships between students and children even questioning themselves.

Next, Battie comes to school dressed as his own made-up superhero, Stretcho, but can't understand why no one wants to be rescued. It's a funny book and one that will grab not only younger readers with a sense of humor, but reluctant readers who will be curious about the laughter generated by those reading it.
