ACOWAR - The battle was my favorite part of this book. I cried when she lost the Suriel, utterly shattered me. Obviously it was detrimental when she lost Rhys and Amren but honestly losing the Suriel sent me more into fits than anything. However, holy shit did I enjoy Nesta's character growth SO much in this story. Also, why is Tamlin *still* so obsessed with her?? I mean honestly! He was only interested in her because it would help break the curse if she were to say "I love you" so it's really hard for me to believe that he actually had/has this much feeling for her. Talk about toxic exes. I also need confirmation or something to come out of the Helion being Lucien's dad plot line in the future. This series was recommended to me by my daughter. I had never read very much YA or fantasy, so I did not expect to like it as much as I did. 🥺

The characters the author created were so complex and human-like (well, fae-like, I don’t know), you can’t help but fall in love with them. There were no controlling male main characters you so often see in books dominating over the female main character and passed off as romantic. The males characters, while dominant, never ever tried to control the female characters or make decisions for them. It was one of the biggest selling points of this series for me. Also, the female characters were just as powerful, if not more, than the male characters. A deliciously badass rivals-to-lovers romance that nearly singed my fingers. Intensely emotional, wildly sexy, and absolutely unputdownable.”— Sarah MacLean, New York Times bestselling author Feyre, the provider for her family, has spent her life fearing the Fae on the other side of the wall. She has heard the gruesome stories but when faced with a decision that could feed her family she takes it. That decision brings on the full force of the Fae when Tamlin takes her in retribution for killing one of his own. But Tamlin is not exactly what Feyre is expecting and neither is the world she now finds herself in. Passo dopo passo, lottando contro ogni suo demone.I also loved the Night Court! Mor, Cassian, Azriel, and Amren were GREAT! I especially love Az, but Cassian is also pretty fabulous. ❤

When I first started reading this series, I truly didn't think I would be able to get into it and then all of a sudden, the rug was pulled out from underneath me and I was absolutely blown away by this incredible world. It was very hard for me to rate this series – it's worth mentioning this review is only for the first 4 books in the series; I did not and I will not read ACOSF How is it not only OK but empowering to be the toxic one in a relationship if you are a woman?! I thought the idea behind feminism is equal rights, mutual respect. Matriarchy is equally as bad as patriarchy - just as women want and deserve respect, so do men.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a trilogy set in the Fae world of Prythian. I'll review all three together and I'll really try not to give spoilers! oh boy tbh I'm terrified and what better way to get rid of the territorial rage than to see TAMLIN *facepalm* Cassian: a parte i capelli lunghi che subito mi hanno fatta cadere ai suoi piedi, abbiamo come punto a favore un carattere pieno di flirt ma anche molto di buon cuore; Weird toxic masculinity things were never truly called out or dealt with... or sometimes joked about in the “boys will be boys” way that’s a bit cringe.

I enjoyed A Court of Thorns and Roses, it’s not one of my all-time favourite fantasy series. It’s good to pass the time, it keeps you entertained, and it is enjoyable, but it will never earn a spot in my top ten fantasy reads. I enjoyed a lot about the series, but there are also a number of things that I wasn’t crazy about – such as the romance (in particular I’m not a fan of the – what is intended to be – ‘steamy’ scenes), I wasn’t crazy about the pacing at some points in the story, and I wasn’t content with the way some of the individual storylines played out by the end of the Feyre and Rhys arc. After I read the first book, I got really excited. It was easy to read, really well-written, had adorable characters, and even a good plot. I think it is good choice if you want to read romantic fantasies. (It’s still my favorite series today.) Since then, I have read a lot more regularly and faster. This series was one of the main reasons I started to love reading so much. If I had to give it a criticism it would be that the villains after the first book seem to be less compelling than the first one if not more powerful. You don't always get villains like the joker of anything but I would have liked to see them be a little more evolved. He’d had enough. Enough of the coldness, the sharpness. Enough of the sword-straight spine and razor-sharp stare that had only honed itself these months. Cassian could barely hear over the roaring in his head as he charged into the snowy night. Could barely register moving aside his High Lady to get to the front door. To get to Nesta. ⭐ Night Court (Broken into 2 courts: The Court of Dreams & The Court of Nightmares): High Lord Rhysand
