About this deal

Purists or those looking for a traditional experience will need to adjust and learn some of the unique factors and changes that this deck has from the traditional format. I’m with you in that this is not a tarot deck, despite the name, and while I find it visually stunning, I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to read with it successfully. Once they are complete, her attention will shift to the dragon-themed oracle deck that she has been working on slowly and steadily for several years.

Ravynne is self-employed which means she needs to earn enough to cover the time she spends on her publishing projects. The tarot will help you communicate with the Divine, and your inner self; know your conscious mind, and explore the unconscious forces – the hard-wired beliefs and patterns that influence your behavior and choices. Unlike a traditional tarot, the suits are named after the four elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. But for oracle readers or highly intuitive readers who don’t care as much about the formal Tarot structure, the Dreams of Gaia Tarot will make a lovely working deck. I tell myself when I have time I’ll really dive into it and get to know it, but I do wish it had kept the wonderful imagery but decided to be either an oracle deck or a tarot deck.Phelan’s artistic talent and spiritual influence have combined to make a stunning tarot deck like no other. Once again, these cards are beautiful, and I think they work wonderfully as oracle cards, but as a reader steeped in Tarot tradition, I have a hard time connecting to them. The Dreams of Gaia Tarot is for those who desire unity within themselves, their relationships, and with heaven and earth.

I would not advise this deck to beginner readers, nor to those (like myself) who strongly prefer decks rooted in Tarot tradition.

The hypomanic episodes were few and far between, but after lengthy discussions with her doctor it was agreed that a history of manic episodes could be both established and traced back to her mid teens. Personally, when someone creates a deck that does not follow any known system and does not have any traditional imagery, I prefer to have the imagery I'm looking at explained. There is some really good stuff to be found under this heading that might be missed if you ignore this section because you don’t read reversals.

It will allow you to explore their depths, and embrace the beautiful and powerful awareness that your responses and reactions are a natural part of who you are, but also within your power to control and change. I get stuck between the deck’s overlap with tarot while not having it make enough self-clear sense to me.But this deck really is its own thing, and it can’t be properly understood in the context of traditional Tarot.
