Featuring TV series Wednesday (starring Jenna Ortega), Neon, Selena: the Series, One Day at a Time, Luis Miguel: The Series, Gentefied, and El rey, Vicente Fernández, and films Roma, The Mother, Spy Kids Armageddon (launching Sept. 22), The Losers, Awake, Vivo, I Am No Longer Here, and John Leguizamo’s Latin History For Morons. One of Kahlo’s most famous works, the painting shows two versions of the artist sitting side by side, with both of their hearts exposed. One Frida is dressed nearly all in white and has a damaged heart and spots of blood on her clothing. The other wears bold colored clothing and has an intact heart. These figures are believed to represent “unloved” and “loved” versions of Kahlo. 'The Broken Column' (1944) Tarnanthi atAGSA will also include panpa-panpalya, an ideas conference led by notable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, curators, thinkers and writers, as well as offering an extensive array of talks, tours, performances, workshops, creative activities and education programs.

But the show is as much about Kahlo’s joys and passion for life and art as it is about her pain, as seen through colorful butterflies, blooming flowers and self-portraits of the artist.

In 1939, Kahlo went to live in Paris for a time. There she exhibited some of her paintings and developed friendships with such artists as Marcel Duchamp and Pablo Picasso. After Kahlo’s death, the feminist movement of the 1970s led to renewed interest in her life and work, as Kahlo was viewed by many as an icon of female creativity.
