About this deal

Vocal presentations are a strong suit for both male and female vocals which shows a nice range of dynamism in space and here is the benefit of a nicely done harmon tuned IEM. Its overall tonality for the treble is fairly smooth but I do notice on rock tracks with splash cymbals the Aurora can sound a touch grainy. This being said the Aurora stays fairly safe with its harmon tuning and shows its strengths on a technical foundation for its sound. As this is an intended V shaped tuning, mid and vocal lovers best look elsewhere, as vocals and the mids are in the background, and at times may be a bit hollow.

Not only are the sound aspects enhanced much like the Onyx but now you get much better depth, the best possible stage for the Aurora with a fuller thicker note weight. The rise of the upper midrange continues in the highs where transients, air, and details executed well without being overbearing to the ears. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not on par with Fiio fh5 or fd5 cables, but it’s no comparison to blon’s cable.

Remove the antiseptic wipe from its packaging and leave it on a dry for half an hour on a clean surface. But I know why some folks hear differently and let's eliminate the one thing that can cause you to not hear your earphones in a correct manner and that is to clean out your ear holes. The KBEAR KS1 has a slightly more accurate timbral accuracy for acoustic instruments than the BLON BL-03, which also has excellent timbre, though I find the BLON BL-03’s timbre is quite coloured and a bit tubish. It doesn't bother me so much during most music, but when watching quiet videos it's a bit distracting.

From the horrible Opal (which I couldn't be bothered to review, as it should be erased from history) to the very restrictive F1, it seemed that KBEAR won't make it too far before vanishing from existance in the crowded earphones market. These 2 sets are very close in technicalities, I think the KBEAR KS1 is just a bit better in the instrument separation and details departments. Firstly, the over ear cable design is different to the original cabled version, it’s rubberier in texture and flops around on the top of your ear, and constantly requires adjustment. In addition, the capsules have a semi-custom shape, which provides such good results, in terms of ergonomics and isolation. They will be compared to other high quality IEMs including Dunu Falcon PRO (220 USD), Linsoul 7Hz Timeless (220 USD), and QoA Queen of Audio Adonis (190 USD). As a bonus I will post about how the Aurora matches up with Tris two new cables that will be on the market very soon on this read later on. While there is some warmth inherited from the bass, the KS2’s mids still come through clearly and vocals are nicely articulated, even if they sometimes come across as a bit thin. I also found if you press and hold it’ll summon the Google assistant lady who tells me I have no plans (obviously ?

Surprisingly the KS2 treble actually has better density while the KB04’s treble can at times sound brittle. The noise cancellation is also incredibly amazing, you get total audio immersion, no disruption whatsoever. They are relatively upfront, mainly in the upper-mids/lower-highs range, while the lower mids are a bit toned down. They sit firmly, and along with the built-in ear loops and the included ear tips, I often find myself forgetting that I'm even wearing any earphones. Stage has good width and some depth but is definitely wider than deep and height is somewhat limited as well.
