Vapours rise up through the 70ft tall rectification column, resulting in a vodka that has effectively been distilled 119 times. With strong orange zest on the nose it has a naturally rich bitter-sweet flavour and warm velvety mouth feel. They then matured their marmalade vodka for a long four years in used cognac casks and created masterful limited edition vodka. We create our own energy from our own on site bio-boiler, Huxley; which is powered using the prunings from our apple orchards, all of our potato waste goes to fertilise our fields or feed our herd of pedigree Hereford cattle, and wherever possible, the fresh ingredients used in our products are sourced from right here on our family farm or from our local and trusted Herefordshire suppliers.

As we are celebrating National Vodka Day this weekend, I have teamed up with Chase Distillery to create a range of vodka-based Martinis, or Vodkatinis. Having the distillery located on the farm allows us to keep a watchful eye over how our potatoes and apples move from field to bottle. In the botanical chamber of the still they hang Egyptian cotton pillowcases stuffed full of orange peel. Fill with ice and remaining ingredients then shake well, before straining into a high ball glass filled with crushed ice.This is a stunning vodka with a realistic marmalade flavour which works perfectly in a range of cocktails.
Chase Original Potato Vodka is distilled using a copper still, providing the purest tasting vodka ideal for a refreshing martini. Many successful years passed as the producers of Tyrell’s Crisps but they kept wondering what next for the humble potato. Looking at industry trends they could see that vodka would one day have to lead into gin production.Since 1992 I have been an avid drinks enthusiast and have been making Mead in my native country of Lithuania for over 30 years. A panel of thirty judges blind tested over 249 vodkas and placed Chase Original Potato Vodka first, beating top vodka producing rivals from Poland and Russia. Originally intended as a limited release, Chase Marmalade is a firm favourite of vodka and cocktail lovers. The waste produced from the production process is either fed to their own Hereford cattle or used to power their on-site bio boiler. The production process involves peeling, heating and mashing the potatoes before adding yeast for fermentation.
After being distilled twice through marmalade, the vodka is then finished by storing in oak barrels for six months. After being awarded best vodka in the world in 2014, Chase has changed the game of the British vodka scene, experimenting with flavours and techniques to create unique premium vodkas.
