No CGI or over the top special effects and gore here, just honest story telling and the result is that it's actually the best (and most horrific) film I've ever seen. Whereas the previous releases had no extra features, the Special Edition included commentaries and associated documentaries.

Talking to Jackson – who went onto enjoy Hollywood success, directing the 1992 blockbuster The Bodyguard – what is immediately impressive is his knowledge of his subject matter.
