The ZMX862 is a step up from the massively popular ZMX52 that adds more inputs and an extra band of EQ as well as a switch for phantom power. Not only can you plug dynamic, condenser, and wireless microphones into the first two channels, you also get two stereo channel inputs for keyboards, drum machines, and other instruments. Plus, you can easily plug in your MP3 player, CD player, or audio from a DVD player into the CD/TAPE inputs. But, you also have two AUX sends that you can use to send streams of audio from your mixer to a digital effects unit, stage monitor, or any number of destinations. Choose the ZMX862 as the audio central command for your live performances, home studio, or video suite and be ready for any audio curveball. The ZMX862 provides individual channel volume controls, as well as a two-band EQ on each channel for adjusting the tone of your audio signals. It also includes a peak LED indicator to help prevent distortion and clipping. The mixer offers a headphone output for monitoring and an aux send/return for connecting external effects.

No compromises. PHANTOM POWER – This switch activates and deactivates phantom power. When activated, phantom power supplies +48V to the XLR mic inputs and the LED above the switch will be lit. Please note that most dynamic microphones do not require phantom power, while most condenser microphones do. Consult your microphone’s documentation to find out whether it needs phantom power.

Compact Design, Professional Performance Professional Performance with a Small Footprint The Alto Zephyr ZMX862 is a mixer that is designed for professional audio applications. It is equipped with a variety of features that make it suitable for small and medium-sized events or performances. There is no integrated USB Interface (but you can buy a separate cable for that like me if you need it). Lighting conditions can vary from venue to venue and in some you can find it hard to see your mixer at all and so Alto Professional have decided to colour code each section and incorporated brightly coloured knobs, making it easy to find and adjust everything you need to without having to blindly feel around in the dark.PHONES – Connect your 1/4" stereo headphones to this output. The CTRL ROOM / PHONES knob controls the volume. We designed every ZEPHYR ZMX mixer with your performance in mind. Sometimes venues are dark and it can be hard to see what you're working with. Alto Professional solves this problem by not only color coding each section of the mixer, but also by using brightly colored knobs so that you can easily find what you need to adjust before you ever lay a finger on the mixer. Our blue, red, yellow and white pots are instantly easy to identify in dim lighting. LED indicators for output level, peak, and phantom power also assist in making sure that you have multiple visual cues that compliment everything you're hearing. MAIN MIX OUTPUTS – Use standard 1/4" cables to connect these outputs to the house speaker or amplifier system. The level of these outputs is controlled by the MAIN VOLUME knob. I bought this mixer just for the sake of acquiring both iMac audio and digital piano audio through my headphones simultaneously.
