This is a unique scent that smells like citruses (lots of earthy orange) mixed with leather, patchouli and loads oud and amyris. Passion, love, tenderness and joy - all emotions that are awoken by the unequalled femininity and beauty of the centifolia rose. I was given a test strip of this on a whim in Neiman Marcus, and didn't think much of the opening, other than a fresh oud was new to me, and that surprised me. But BOY does this develop into the sexiest blend of fresh woody spiciness! I could stop smelling the tester for DAYS! It smells the exact same on skin, thankfully! The chance of a bargain priced sample lured me into trying this dry, relatively inoffensive oud based scent. If you have not tried an oud scent before then a good introduction. Oud is not for the faint hearted. Colonia Oud was my first Oud perfume (about some 5-6 years ago). Oud Eau de Parfum is its natural successor. Oud Eau de Perfum is just as good as colonia Oud. The Acqua di Parma DNA make this absolutely amazing ... plus the leather note. Elegant. Masculine. Sophisticated. Classy.

Oud perfumery blended very smoothly with musks and citruses, to be very simple. It smells definitely like a western style of perfumery, definitely in the sort of way I described before. You can feel very clean, almost aquatic texture of the formulation. Complex musk accord with Muscone, Ambrettolide, Ethylene Brassylete, maybe Musk Ketone and linear musks, Cashmeran, Bergamot EO, Linalool, Ethyl-Linalool, Hedione, Lily of the Valley raw materials like Magnolan, Liliestralis and Sandalwood raw materials to give further smoothness and richness, and, obviously, expertly chosen other naturals. - this is what I have imagined. Linalool<--->Ethyl-Linalool balance help to enhance the natural olfactive profile. I have heard also that Cashmeran and Kephalis help to build oud accord in perfumes. This is Italian perfumery in its finest. You should dress sharp, to wear this. It is a marvel, in my opinion. Absolutely fits to my style and taste. 10/10 Not too heavy. I’m wearing it on one of the hotter days you get in the UK and it works. Perhaps not in really hot or humid conditions but it’s definitely suitable for Northern European type weather for winter, spring, autumn and probably most of summer. Love this smell it’s a nice but lighter “Oud” fragrance. If you want a exclusive elegance and really good performance (last easy more than 10h on my skin) this fragrance do the job. Be amazed fragrance. She has one that plunges you into a sea of scented doubts. She does not leave indifferent, she is mysterious, she has strength, a rush! She does not feel very chemical or sharp. She rounded in all the nuances of her to my nose. In medium cold weather 12-18 degrees lasted me (I recently used it in Helsinki) from morning to late evening, and when I showered the aromas came out again.

Honestly this is in this the same class of Oud fragrances as Tom Ford, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana those designer Ouds. But this is the best of them.

Produced by Acqua di Parma, Colonia Essenza Eau de Cologne is a niche composition made up of high quality ingredients and aimed at the customer who wants to wear something that stands out. It has been available in stores since 2010. It is labelled a cologne. Johann Maria Farina invented eau de cologne in 1709, though this is now used as a general term for any scented water with between 2-5% essences. It is generally based on citrus oils and some combination of lavender, thyme, rosemary and jasmine. A Symphony for the Nose Awesome fragrance! It's light but heavy at the same time; a semi-soapy quality - quite unique! STRONG too. Lovely stuff.

How on Earth does this not have rose in it? As in, if it were listed, I would consider rose the most dominant note in there. Not nearly as much as it is in Oud Touch (which is completely rose-dominant), but obviously a more rounded variation on the rose/oud theme. Has a lot in common with Ambra, but dials down the orange and is missing that "dirty" aspect I found in Ambra. Am I the only one who think this smell like Creed Silver Mountain Water or Club De Nuit Sillage.....with Oud ? Very sophisticated, elegant, powerful and deep. Has a vibe of a man or woman that has their life together. It also feels like this is what an Italian fashion mogul living in Milan would smell like.

Gentle, slightly leathery and finely rounded oud meets a juicy orange! This is an oud fragrance that can easily be worn in summer. The top notes on this are perfection with the bergamot and coriander coming through a strong leather base. This is male-leaning, but unisex. Performance is impressive, but may be cloying in Summer months. More of a night-time scent, there is something dark and mysterious here. Definitely not for the "blue fragrance" crowd, but a great beginner oud for enthusiasts looking to get into oud fragrances. One of my final fragrance missions is to obtain a fresh oud-based scent that is versatile enough to wear in all occasions and all seasons. This mission is harder than I thought it would be. I agree with everyone who considers this a soapy Oud. Mostly in the rather extended dry down. And that’s because this thing lasts forever. I get 12 hours plus easily with only a few sprays.

This is a modern/Western take on oud and to me doesn't really smell Oriental at all, until the full dry down where it becomes a bit exotic. Mass appealing yet artistic. Smells like two fragrances in the opening and the dry down. You gotta try this even if you're not a fan of oud normally. This will make you smell like a successful, sophisticated gentleman no doubt. Usually i don't like the smell of the coriander's, but when they combined it with oud making it fantastic. The smell of the leather note it's not too strong or pungent, i think the cedar and sandalwood soothing it. Whilst the previous Oud Cologne lasted all day and had great projection, this one is gone after barely an hour and always stays close to the skin. It's also a softer, dimmed down version of the previous cologne. In fact, this can now be applied liberally and worn at all times, that's how weak they made it. It doesn't even hold on to your clothing. This is smooth, leathery, woody and classy, with a good dose of amyris and just a little bit of citrus on top. Colonia Futura expresses from its opening notes an indomitable and vibrant nature. Its vertical and dynamic structure resonates with the first subtle accents of vetiver enveloped in a bright citrus explosion of Calabrian bergamot, lemon and grapefruit, enhanced by the spicy nuances of pink pepper. The vibrant beginning becomes softer in the heart of the fragrance, revealing its aromatic spirit that characterises this Eau de Cologne, in a fantastic duet between the fresh reassuring nuance of lavender and the almost tactile aroma of clary sage. after 20 minutes or so the oud is more prominent and leather starts to come out and in the base its leather oud combo which is so elegant and sexy ! After 12 hours i wanted to test a different scent so i took a shower to get ADP Oud off of me and this stuff was still there and projecting after the shower lol. A mild oud, clean, with a non-animalistic leather blending with the softness of sandalwood, unlike the Leather EdP. It dries shyly close to the skin, extremely pleasant with a comforting scent. Very full and round. The citruses stay for a pretty long time and as they gradually die down you can detect the other layers underneath a lot more: there's a soft, gentle leather note that adds this refinement and sophistication to the scent; Amyris gives off this slightly sweet resinous vibe that makes you wanna keep sniffing it; and of course, the oud becomes more and more apparent as the fragrance develops. The oud here is dry, crisp, slightly smokey and reminds me of antique furnitures, giving that classy & elegant woodsy vibe. The oud note intensifies and reaches its peak around the 5-6 hour mark when most of the other notes have faded.
