The Chardonnay (adding its aromatic complexity, finesse, elegance and lightness) comes from Epernay and some of the best crus of the Côte des Blancs.From a family-owned firm established over 150 years ago with 175 acres of prime vineyards around Epernay. The floral, elegant, slightly citrusy champagnes of Pol Roger lead many to assume that Chardonnay is the dominant grape here, when in actual fact black grapes play a more important role in most of Pol Roger’s champagnes. You’ll find aromas of pear, mango and honeysuckle, with ripe and developed flavours of quince, apricot and toasty brioche.

It slows the fermentation right down, which intensifies flavours and creates extra-fine, elegant bubbles. After tasting, blending and bottling, the secondary fermentation (prise de mousse) and maturing take place in the cool atmosphere of our cellars located 33 metres below street level. All the know-how of our firm is revealed in its ability to reproduce each year a blend which is consistent in style and in quality. and then releases light flavours of honeysuckle and white jasmine, lingering on vanilla and brioche notes.Please note, whilst the majority of parcels sent on this service are received next day, this is not guaranteed.
