About this deal

The Way of Water also gets a separate 3D BD release, and since it was conceived for the third dimension the results are unsurprisingly excellent. The side-effect is the "soap opera effect", and a lot of people don't like the buttery-smooth motion. For many too, the wearing of not usually very comfortable 3D specs for what’s supposed to be a relaxing couple of hours has long been an issue as well: the technological advance that makes them optional might just be the next tipping point. Or they could just use a version of the current frame packed format with 1080p per eye which when played back on a 4k TV wouldn't need to be downscaled to HD.

Joining the illustrious adult cast are talented newcomers Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass and Jack Champion. He and his team were always going to put in a shift on the technical side, and duly did Not since arguably Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity has a live action movie used 3D well, and justified the format. In general, the focus on the younger characters just about works, though it might have been a mistake not to give any of them a romantic interest. Avatar: The Way of Water will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo (4K + Blu-ray + Digital Code), Blu-ray 3D Combo (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + Digital Code), Blu-ray Combo (Blu-ray + Digital Code), and DVD. Bringing Pandora to Life – Once James Cameron completes his virtual production process, every sequence is turned over to Wētā FX to bring Pandora to life—with unprecedented advancements in facial performance, environments and making CG water look real.

The story deliberately repeats beats from the first film, but also feels like a Cameron greatest hits package with elements of The Abyss , Aliens and even Titanic all filtered through the stunning CGI. One of the stories in the midst of the remarkable success enjoyed by James Cameron’s latest juggernaut Avatar: The Way Of Water was that it brought 3D back – again – to UK cinemas. astounding, and there's virtually no frame in this enterprise which isn't stuffed with often incredible visual information. of Avatar (see boxout below) looks impressive, Cameron clearly didn't sit on his laurels during the intervening years, and the level of detail in the CGI here is breathtaking.

It may not reach the maximum resolution, but you’re trading that for total immersion, something essential for this movie. Dejo una captura del Blu-ray comparada con una foto sacada directamente del cine para probarlo, así que Manuel cuando dices en tu reseña que la película está cortada por los lados y la edición Blu-ray se come un 15% de imagen de los lados no sé lo que comentas. Editing Avatar – James Cameron and the film’s editors reveal the unique challenges they faced editing Avatar, and the benefits of “learning as you go. In fact, that’s a frequent problem, as various important-seeming characters (such as Edie Falco’s General or Jemaine Clement’s scientist) just disappear from the story altogether, indicating that they’ll presumably have more to do next time round.Unfortunately the existing bluray 3D format is still capped at 1080P 24fps, but 3D on a good home cinema set up (a 100” projector and 7. There’s a terrific amount of imaging and channel movement throughout the film, it’s not as refined as the Atmos, but it’s an exciting experience nonetheless.

Aún siendo un doblaje decente (pero con algunos subtítulos que se superponen con los subtítulos en inglés al principio) no es lo mismo, la verdad. Just because there’s not been the same kind of land rush this time around, the numbers are still worthy of at least sticking on the agenda, albeit perhaps under Any Other Business rather than somewhere near the top.For those of you wondering— as we’ve confirmed with producer Jon Landau (see our video comment here) and various studio and industry sources—James Cameron’s Titanic, The Abyss, and True Lies are all currently in production for 4K Ultra HD release (and first-time Blu-ray release in the case of The Abyss and True Lies) later in the year.

The discs are stacked, two to a side, but thankfully the case is wide and doesn’t feel too tight or stiff that they could slip off their cradles or scratch. That’s not to say that a 3D home version won’t appear at some point, it’s just notable that it’s not arrived or even been announced yet (although Disney is being coy anyway on when the physical discs will be landing anyway). The numbers do not lie, and Avatar: The Way of Water has proven that 3D sales are alive and well for the right movie, with 57% of its box office coming from premium ticket sales, according to MovieWeb.Por otro lado el guión está bien escrito, se nota que en esta ocasión han trabajado aún más los personajes y el tono es más adulto (a pesar de tener personajes adolescentes), además es un tono más reivindicativo y hasta diría que más impactante y en ocasiones muestra imágenes muy duras. Inside Pandora's Box offers a compendium of often quite detailed featurettes: • Building the World of Pandora (HD; 9:33) looks at the rendering processes. As a result, the film takes a good hour and a half to really get going, but it kicks into gear around the halfway mark, round about the point where Lo’ak is bonding with the whale-like creature, and the pacing significantly improves from then onwards. dba Freestar (“Freestar”) for the purposes of placing certain advertising on the site, and Freestar will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. For me, the bad decisions Cameron made on Way of Water were HFR/VFR and showing the film in different aspect ratios in different cinemas.
