About this deal

Because You Were Nice to Me: She's grateful to Machiya for sparing her after the Film Research Club massacre. Big Sister Worship: The real Crazy Rascal views Miwa as a sister-figure after she treats her with kindness, and goes straight to bat to protect her several times afterwards.

Bring Me My Brown Pants: Peed herself when Mashiro started demolishing the Film Research Club members. Clingy Costume: A mundane example. Mashiro's Crazy Rascal costume is damaged during a confrontation with Ishizaki and the zipper is destroyed, rendering her unable to take it off until it is further damaged in a fight with Nishijima's brother.I have to admit that there lies some potential for social commentary in this story though. The ideas of "how far will people go for attention" or "how far could entertainment go" (as seen in Battle Royale too) could be used for this kind of thing, but so far the ideas have only been touched on an extremely superficial level, and I'm not expecting this series to give us any more than that. The characters are cliche, plain and uninteresting to see. You get your MC, boring, has no meaning in life and just stays there for plot convenience, then you have SC, who is a crazy yandere bitch that will do anything for money and fame (or just outright crazy). Any other character introduced will just make you annoyed to the point you're asking yourself 'when will they die?' and if that thought ever arose from my mind, I would drop the series completely. You don't really feel for the characters but rather to just pitch a tent or unleash the water gates.

Mai is in love with Machiya for various reasons, and always states that he is the one "who captures me (on camera) most beautifully". She is extremely possessive of him, and will even respond with lethal force to any woman who tries to steal his affections. Character Death: Via Explosive Leash created by Machiya. Technically considered a suicide, as he was filmed placing it on himself of his own free will. Lovable Alpha Bitch: Ironically, when compared to other characters she ends up being one of the “cleanest” around; she is disturbed by the true nature of DEAD Tube and generally comes off as one of the nicest (i.e. least amoral) characters in the series. Beauty Equals Goodness: Averted hard. While this could be applied to the series as a whole, she arguably takes it to the next level; taking great pains to dress and maintain mannerisms of a beautiful, refined high society lady. After losing her cool (courtesy of a few hits to the face by Mashiro), Machiya calls out her true nature as someone who just wants to destroy things that other people consider beautiful, innocent, or pure. Beautiful All Along: Not like she was hiding much but when she goes on camera though, Mizuno steps up a few notches.Ascended Extra: She started off as a minor antagonist who got throughly humiliated by Mashiro before becoming a major recurring character in the later story arcs. Really Gets Around: Give her a good sum of money and Mizuno will act in any sex scene, with real sex; Machiya uses her later for the same purpose. Not long after the Film Research Club massacre, it is revealed Machiya spared her just so she could be of use to him in future DEAD Tube activities. Broken Bird: Only temporary, but Miwa is left a broken mess after Machiya manipulates her into killing someone. His sister, his partner and confidant who supported him from the very beginning, who encouraged him to become "Justice Man" in the first place? Not only did she frame the Yakuza whom he killed as the culprit of the fire that scarred him, but it's implied that she was the one who started it in the first place.

This was all part of Machiya’s plan; to have Furui experience all of the joys of life in an effort to rekindle his will to live... before killing himself anyway. At first Furui seemed to have seen through the plan, forcing himself to return to his nihilistic views and placing the explosive collar on to end it all. But Mizuno’s last display of sobbing over his impending death caused him to flip again, saying he wanted to live. The final video captures what Machiya envisioned all along: the suicide of someone who wanted to live. I'm a Humanitarian: In chapter 27, he unknowingly eats curry made from his father. He is reasonable disgusted when he finds out.

Crocodile Tears: Mizuno takes her acting seriously; crying while being "raped" to make it look real as it gets, crying for Furui to make him regret his suicidal streak. Loves My Alter Ego: Sums up the true nature of his relationship with his sister. She's so in love with the persona of Justice Man that once he loses his mask after saving her from an explosion, she doesn't even recognize his actual face, calling him disgusting and demanding he stop touching her. Ax-Crazy: Mai has no issue with assaulting, maiming and killing people, and typically does so with unrestrained glee. The setting of the story is pretty common too. You have the highschool, the MC house, sometimes the SC house and it just really doesn't bring much to the table. Though after the 12 or so chapters, the setting changes completely which is good in a way but it doesn't change the fact that the story itself is kind of bland. Karmic Rape: Matsumura ends up being the target of this trope on three seprate occasions and counting. First by Mashiro, who sodimized Matsumura with a police baton after interrogating her. Then by Justice Man, who raped her for simply trying to talk him out of killing Dillgent Manager. Which was then followed by Toshio and Mitsuko, who both raped Matsumura on camera after drugging her drink.

She is extremely manipulative as seen where she manipulates Machiya to betray and kill Sanagi Oushima (The film club director and Machiya's first love). Bad notes aside, I've been mentioning this a lot in the review but the artwork is just tremendous. The way the facial expressions are, the movements and the gore really gives you a great feeling about the story. It may look normal and typical the first few frames but focus a lot on the characters faces and it's somewhat realistic. Cool Big Sis: What she is for Machiya and how he saw Oushima as, all a façade of devious proportions. Lets get down to Business , If you dislike heavy gore, extreme nudity and hate deaths in general, Then i would advise you to never ever read this manga. On the other hand if you enjoy them, then oh boy, you are in for a treat.Mai assumes the role of the killer once she catches Miwa and Machiya in bed, feeling betrayed she disappears for much of the arc, while in truth it was planned all along by Machiya and Mai for her to act in the shadows, still Mai didn’t kill anyone as the Crazy Rascal, just giving some scares while assuming the role. Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: The hundreds of millions of yen he makes on DEAD Tube mean nothing to him. Instead, his goal is to destroy DEAD Tube from the inside by becoming a Premium Member and put an end to the meaningless violence. This complete disregard for wealth along with his concern for Mizuno's health also causes her to fall in love with him. Especially tiresome is the weak execution, with barely any build-up of suspense: you'll get a situation, and in the next chapter they'll suddenly go "BANG! rape and killing! problem solved! Neeeext!"There's also a number of plotholes (why didn't cameraboy get the explanation about DT any earlier? why doesn't anyone wear a mask while being filmed in the process of killing or raping someone?) that got on my nerves.
