I have a pair of these which perform well and are comfortable although I have mixed feelings about the look.The light can shine through the translucent plastic and is reflected by various angles and edges of the fountain pen. I must confess that I had experimented, in swapping the caps around to pair a black barrel with a black cap, but you still end up with a coloured band in the centre.
