About this deal

From 2011 the European Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) Directive prohibited the use of refrigerants with a GWP over 150 in new model type cars. From January 2017, the MAC Directive rolled out this ruling across all new vehicles.

Welcome to Cool Car – car air conditioning specialists since 1988. If your car air con is not working, or your car air conditioning needs a service, or just an air con recharge, then we at Cool Car can visit your home, or place of work, 7 days a week and fix any problems you have. We’re sure to have a specialist nearby. Established for 30 years we are able to recharge, regas, service and repair your car’s air conditioning. Within an hour the whole recharge process is completed and you will once again have refreshing cool air on demand. Our trained technicians will show you the difference in your AC before and after recharge. Vehicle air conditioners that are not recharged regularly will be less effective and have to work harder to produce cool air. This puts more strain on the engine and uses more fuel. If your air conditioning system has not been recharged in the past two years it will dramatically reduce efficiency. Recharge or No Charge Once all the old refrigerant gas, oil and dye have been removed, the whole system is cleaned with any moisture within withdrawn. When refilling refrigerant and performing any work on the refrigerant circuit, please observe the following: From 2017, this ruling had to be rolled out across all new vehicles produced and is required by law for all new vehicles. As well as keeping your car cool in the summer and the windscreen de-misted in the winter, using your air-con regularly will also help it operate as efficiently as possible. However, these systems are not designed to last forever without upkeep.

For further guidance on how to get the most out of your air conditioning, take a look at our guide on car There are still numerous vehicles on the market with air-conditioning systems originally designed for refrigerant R12. 2001 marked the official final end of R12 in vehicle air-conditioning systems. Ever since then, R12 systems had to be converted during maintenance or repair work. R134a was and is used as replacement refrigerant besides several "drop-in" refrigerants (refrigerant mixtures). Just like cars that run on petrol and diesel, both electric vehicles and hybrids will also require the air con system recharged when the refrigerant gas in the air con system needs replacing. Otherwise, the air con system in your vehicle will not operate effectively and will start to blow warm air.

Why R1234yf?

Our combined Air Conditioning Regas Antibacterial Clean is ideal if your Air Conditioning has stopped performing at it's best. ATS Euromaster offers air conditioning recharge services for the two key types of refrigerant used in modern vehicles (R134A and R1234yf). Generally vehicles registered before 1st January 2017 use R134A refrigerant and those registered after this date tend to use R1234yf refrigerant. About our AC Recharge Service EXTREME ULTRA locates the refrigerant gas leaks and permanently seals them, without reacting to moisture and oxygen. Refill equivalent to 1x456g of R1234yf + 1xProfessional Type Hose & Gauge (R1234yf) + Instruction Sheet When cleaning the vehicle, do not point the steam-jet cleaner directly onto parts of the air-conditioning system.

All of our services are provided by our fully qualified, trained engineers specialising in air con recharge (regas), servicing, parts fitting, fault diagnosis, and repair of your car, van, and agricultural vehicles throughout the UK. Climalife are a key player in the distribution of car air conditioning refrigerants and other climate control products, with a nationwide distribution network and product knowledge that is second to none. R134A Gas used at most Centres. R1234YF Gas available at selected centres. Additional charges may apply. Permanently seals refrigerant Gas leaks both in metal and rubber components of A/C and Refrigeration systems I've had a couple of older cars that have definitely needed this and the results have been good but it was anything but a "refresh", definitely more of a "fumigation" job

A drop in gas pressure will result in a loss of cooling efficiency, which will make your engine work harder and, in turn, use more fuel. That's why our Aircon De-Mist service ensures that your air conditioning system is working efficiently by testing the gas pressure to see if it has dropped. The process works as follows:

Never allow refrigerant to leak out into the atmosphere. If the refrigerant reservoir or air-conditioning system is opened, its contents will escape under high pressure. The extent of the pressure depends on the temperature. The higher the temperature, the higher the pressure. Most modern cars have air conditioning systems fitted as standard, keeping passengers cool during summer and helping to de-mist in winter by removing excess moisture from the cabin air. A recharge (or regas) for your car air conditioning makes sure that your air-con system is ready to use effectively whenever you need it. Through time and regular use, the gas in your air conditioning system will run low and will need to be replenished before the system can start to operate as designed and blow consistently cold air again. Electric vehicles use the same types of refrigerant gas as internal combustion engine vehicles with the majority requiring the newer R1234YF type of gas.The workplace must be well ventilated for working on refrigerant circuits. Breathing in high concentrations of gaseous refrigerant can cause dizziness and even suffocation. Do not work on the refrigerant circuit from an inspection pit. As gaseous refrigerant is heavier than air, it can collect in high concentrations there. If in doubt, give our customer service line a call on 0330 135 9779, and one of our friendly team members Inefficient aircon systems which are low on refrigerant gas will cause your engine to work harder and thereby increase fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Therefore, to maintain efficiency it is recommended that you should recharge your air conditioning system every two years. Our process will ensure that your air conditioning system is working to its full potential. However, if our technicians find that the De-Mist has had no impact on the air conditioning temperature then the service will be FREE of charge. climate-damaging pollutants than its predecessor, R134a. If your vehicle requires the new gas, this is
