About this deal

Any help/advice would be appreciated, looking for a better laptop to run fm23. My current has become very slow running fm now and is now time for an upgrade 500 is probably my budget. I like to play low graphics sometimes 2d and like to have a lot of leagues 12+ with a medium database running. That said, you do give up the aspect of upgradability if buying a laptop, as generally all you can really upgrade is the RAM and SSD (and even that's not possible in all cases). Also, you'll be likely to have a larger display with a desktop and a desktop is less likely to get physically damaged than a laptop due to the fact you generally find somewhere to put it and leave it there.

If 14" is too small, I'd go for this: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/acer-nitro-5-gaming-laptop-156-165hz-qhd-i911900h-16gb-512gb-rtx3060-w11h-ac51638 The 5600H is better. The 5825U is probably a thin and light laptop designed for portability - U being the clue - as it will be designed for lower TDP meaning during high intensity use it will stay at lower speeds to maintain battery - this is known as throttling. I've never actually bought a refurbished laptop before hence slightly wary of buying one vs a new. But you'd recommend buying from laptops direct? Afternoon people. Work have banned me playing FM23 on the company laptop so I'm on the hunt for a refurb. You should be fine within the smaller budget. This one would be fine: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lenovo-ideapad-3i-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i5-256-gb-ssd-blue-10242283.htmlFinally, the speakers here are nothing special. They’re fine for YouTube videos and casual music, but the mid-range is muddy and the bass is weak, so don’t rely on these for top-notch sound. Screen – A punchy, decent everyday display This laptop returned a virtually identical time when playing video with the screen at 150 nits, and the Asus still lasted a mighty 12hrs 47mins in a work benchmark with the screen brightness at maximum. The VivoBook lasted for 3hrs 11mins with the components really pushed, but you’re unlikely to run everything at 100% on this machine. I thought it was worth separating these two aspects from the other design features, as they are crucial to the way I use a laptop. https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadx1/ThinkPad-X1-Carbon-Gen-10-(14-inch-Intel)/21CBCTO1WWAU6

I have a 32GB M1 Max MacBook Pro. Towards the end of FM22 I was having some issues with the smoothness of the match engine, particularly after updating to Ventura. The only fix was to play in Windowed Mode, it was noticeably smoother then. The VivoBook comes with a 50Wh battery, although Asus doesn’t give an estimate of how long it’s expected to last.

One word of warning: the model reviewed here uses the UX435EA part number, but the previous generation machine is also still available using the UX433 designation. Those laptops include Intel 10th-Gen processors, wider bezels and no fingerprint reader, so make sure you’re getting the more up-to-date notebook. Design and keyboard – Good looking, robust and a solid range of features Despite some fairly sizeable bezels, the VivoBook also feels well future-proofed and should be capable of running the latest version of Windows 10 for many years. The Asus lasts for nearly 16 hours in some of our battery tests, which is a brilliant result and better than the competition. If you need a long-lasting laptop, this is a great choice. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. 'Medium to high' would still be a huge improvement on my experience of the last 25 years playing this game though! https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/ThinkPad-P1-Gen-5-(16-inch-Intel)/21DC001QAU Laptops ASUS X540S X540SA X540 X540L X540LA X540M X540N X540NA X540Y X541 X541U X553 X553S X553M X556 X566U X453 X453M X456 X200C TP300 TP300L E203N E406M UX305Laptops ASUS X540S X540SA X540 Did some research and people recommend getting amd over intel or in this case does intel surpass amd?

You will need a dedicated graphics card to absolutely guarantee playing at the highest graphical presets, but some of the current integrated graphics will be fine for medium to high settings. Can anyone help as the Mac was very expensive and FM is my favourite game, and to be put off playing it is a massive shame. The combination of a sleek aluminium exterior and a couple of surprisingly colourful touches make the VivoBook stand out in a market filled with laptops that all look a bit too similar. not looking to spend too much, they'd mainly be watching youtube videos and playing a bit of Minecraft (as well as FM obviously!). Would this one me adequate?

We recorded just 250 nits on the highest setting, considerably down on many competitors.
