About this deal

People often become overwhelmed by negative thoughts associated with worries about what might happen in the future or mistakes made in the past. Still, this attitude hinders their ability to appreciate life as it is now. If you are new to this way of thinking, and you wish to read I AM THAT, or are struggling to read it now, it would help tremendously to first read a friendly introduction to Advaita Vedanta. Nothing too ethereal, steer clear of the Neo-Advaitins for now, perhaps Arthur Osbourne's Ramana Maharshi and the Path of Self-Knowledge , or any basic text on the life and teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. Sri Ramanasramam publishes a great number of useful books. Aim for something rooted in the life of a person, preferably someone long-dead, and not a rarefied philosophical summary. According to Sri Nisargadatta, the purpose of spirituality is to know who you are. His discussions are not for academic scholars. He is a rebellious spirit, abrupt in his style of discussion, provocative, and immensely profound, cutting to the core and wasting little effort on inessentials. His terse but potent sayings are known for their ability to trigger radical shifts from philosophical mind-games to the purity of consciousness, just by hearing or even reading them. The Lord revealed to Moses that even though He had established a relationship with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; revealed His power and might to them; and established an unconditional covenant with them, He had never revealed to them His special name. His purpose in revealing it to Moses was clear: he 430 years of Jewish separation from the land of promise was about to end. God wanted His people to know that He remembered the covenant He had made with their father Abraham. So He revealed to Moses His unique identity to assure the Israelites that He would bring them into the land of their inheritance. The SATTVA is pure and strong always. It;s its own goal. It manifests spontaneosly and effortlessly, when things are left to themselves, are not interfered with, not shunned, or wanted, or conceptualized, but just experienced in full awarness. Such awarness itself is SATTVA. it does not make use of things and people - it fulfills them."

I introduced him to Ahmad, saying that he is one of my best friends in the whole world, and introduced Ahmad to him as “one of the people who kind enough to host us”. I am with Ahmad getting some vegetables and a torch, when I see one of my best friends, walking in the street. He was the one who asked me to help him find a new place to stay since his aunt’s house is hosting more than 70 people and there is no more space for anyone or anything.

The word Om refers to the sound of the universe. It is the most basic sound that, according to Sanskrit traditions, represents the entire universe in a single world. Using this word in a meditation or mantra can invoke the feeling of unity and oneness with All That Is. All the mysteries of life are in it! I think I might be enlightened. Shouldn't we be sleeping together?" a b Constance Jones; James D. Ryan (2006). Encyclopedia of Hinduism. In Summa Theologiae, I.13.11: "God revealed his name to Moses as HE WHO IS. And this is a most appropriate name inasmuch as it derives not from any particular form but from existence itself [ipsum esse], and its manner of expression does not as other names do delimit God's substance, and represents God's existence in the present tense as knowing neither past nor future." As quoted in " "I AM WHO I AM": Thomas Aquinas and the Metaphysics of the Exodus" . Retrieved May 15, 2023.

In this initial self-identification of God it is significant that the verb is in the first person; the Speaker names Himself, thus emphasizing His personal identification. It is the announcement of a present God, who has come to fulfill His covenant and keep His promise to the afflicted posterity of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 2 God appeared to Moses in the burning bush and told him to go to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of slavery. In response, Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” (Exodus 3:13). It has been said that Nisargadatta´s style was direct, and even at times aggressive. [25] He very rarely mentioned scriptures or quoted spiritual books. His teachings came from his own experience.
