About this deal

Uncle Paton lives in the house with Charlie's mother, Maisie (Charlie's maternal grandmother), Grandma Bone, and himself. She supports Charlie and his friends until inexplicably leaving Bloor Academy after the second book. The Onimouses are forced to close the Pets' Cafe, Billy is under Count Harken's spell, and Dagbert-the-drowner seeks power over Tancred.

Despite its strict rules, Charlie quickly makes friends who also have gifts and together they use their powers to fight evil and solve the many mysteries within the school. She escapes through the Time Twister, while Charlie and Uncle Paton take Henry to live with his younger brother (and Paton's father), James, by the sea. What's interesting in these books is the author didn't heroize any individual, every character had their own story and they were all heroes. He was Manfred's sidekick until book 5, when he helped Charlie and his friends by releasing the Red King. One thing I didn't like: Most of the characters were either dark or light, there wasnt really an inbetween. In January 2002, Charlie meets Henry reappearing at Bloor's in the twenty-first century, and realises Henry's cousin is none other than old Ezekiel Bloor.

Belle joins the more nastily endowed, and Charlie realises she is Yolanda, and evil shapeshifter who brought up Charlie's nasty aunts. She disappears and Charlie Bone ultimately learns that her family is on the boat Greywing, rather than Lyell and Amy Bone, as Lord Grimwald and some of the Bloors mistakenly believe.Meanwhile, Grizelda Bone and her three sisters introduce Charlie to a pretty girl named Belle Donner who will go to Bloor's.
