And having that choice is important. Yes, I have some children who are open to reading more or less anything, but equally there are those who once they have found a book that they really enjoy want something similar to tempt them; with a narrow range of titles to choose from, it is not always possible to provide them with what they want. When I saw this new read up for request on Net Galley, and read the accompanying blurb, it really appealed to me and after reading it I am sure that this will be a great addition to my little library shelf when it is published in a couple of months’ time.

This new Adam was such a departure from Adam(1) - I loved his aesthetic and the moments sprinkled throughout that allowed the player to choose some of his mannerisms and mindset, it provided a bit more accessibility for us to feel attached and a part of him.Adam gains a cautious acceptance into the human’s world because he is useful for fixing broken equipment which empowers the human’s fight against the robots. When Adam is captured by the robots, he begins to see the civil war from their point of view. Adam realises he needs to find a way to create peace between humans and robots before they destroy each other. In addition to Adam-2, who was a very adorable robot just trying his best to make the best of choices available to him and trying to solve the conflict between humans and funks with a unique perspective. I liked how kind Adam was and how he always tried to find a peaceful solution. We also have Linden, a character who has quite a lot of anger and resentment towards the robots but must try and work together with Adam and set aside differences. We also have Runa, who was a really sweet character and I loved her friendship with both Adam and Linden. Additionally I really liked the adult characters in the book, they definitely had a lot more moral greyness than our protagonists and added an interesting element and conflict to the story. I really did love how Adam-2 pulled the whole ending together and it really did work so well and showed in a number of ways that the need for needless violence and suffering is very little and the need for listening and living together and accepting each other is a must. Ready to spice up your free time and try something new? If you want to take to the skies and discover freedom in 3D, ADAM 2 is your new best friend. It will reassure and keep you safe from your first flights onwards. Maximum safety is top priority for this school glider. It’s forgiving of piloting errors, and takes the stress out of learning to fly for students and instructors. A "bad end" where Adam ends up kind of following River's trajectory, taking drugs, etc maybe with Timmy and meets the same fate as River;

Linden is gender-neutral, and the book uses gender-neutral pronouns. This is not a problem in itself, but it does not seem to fit into the story very well for the following reason: In the book modern society is said to have collapsed, and when people are fighting for their very survival it seems unlikely that they would be much concerned with gender identities and gender-neutral pronouns. I therefore think that this kind of character would fit much better into the scenario of a more stable society in which people have the time and resources to devote thought to existential matters. Actually, this may have worked better in the author’s first science fiction novel, Orion Lost. I must also say that I found the set of gender-neutral pronouns chosen for the story distracting and artificial. They are by no means universally accepted, and are unlikely to become standard simply because, although many neologisms are coined every year in English, languages cannot be forced to change in a certain way. Of course, the book will undoubtedly receive kudos for minority inclusion.

I have been thinking of the process of creation a lot. When as human we plan to create something (be it a chair, cooking food, growing a tree or anything else), we always start the process by: The ADAM has always been and remains a popular glider all around the world. It has taken the R&D team a long time to update this classic, because any replacement had to be better than the original without losing that much-loved character. The ADAM 2 is a whole new design, and it is even safer and more comfortable to fly. It is easier to launch and has longer brake travel so it’s safer at slow speeds and easy to land. Bruce’s son Tyr learned to fly on the original ADAM, and our benchmark for safety is still: “safe enough for your child to learn on”. The characters were all wonderful. By this, I don't mean that they were all good, as there were a lot that were more grey than simply good or bad, but they all fit into the story wonderfully. I loved the inclusion of a non-binary character and their preferred pronouns, especially in a book where gender wasn't one of the main themes. I would find this difficult to read this aloud to a class of primary children, especially in my current school, since it may be too close for some, the still raw experiences some of our families. It would be distressing for them to listen to at the moment. For those mature year 6 children who love a great sci-fi read, this would be a great read, but it’s definitely one for the teacher/parent/carer to read first.

Faced with a spaghetti mess of lines, working out what is what can be overwhelming at first. With the ADAM 2 we kept things simple and clear: 20mm risers are easy to manage, and they are coloured and labelled. The lines are all sheathed and coloured. Excellent launch behaviour makes ground-handling and getting airborne very easy, and excellent pitch, roll and yaw stability will make students feel at ease in their harness. Overall, the story has interesting themes. The technological gadgetry and conflict would appeal to boys. The story is set 200+ years in the future in a world where humans and robots with advanced intelligence are at war. I don't want to say much about the plot as it's definitely one of those books where I'd advise going in knowing little and discovering what it's about along the way. There are various themes throughout – war/peace, friendships, family, trust and the rights and wrong of developing AI. Via Linden, and the influence hir mother (and her death) has on hir, we witness the struggle to work out the right path to take and also the power of telling stories, both to the teller and the audience. Adam-2 is a robot that has been living alone beneath the post-apocalyptic city of Edinburgh. When Linden and Runa stumble into his cell, they are immediately seized with fear. Why? Because humans are at war with all robots, and have been for generations. The artificial intelligence that humans created to serve its wants and needs eventually turned on them and attempted to wipe them out. Society as we know it collapsed, and the few humans that survived now continue to do so by hiding their whereabouts from the ever-watchful robots.Now, SATA are launching an additional retrofit solution for pressure control: the new SATA Adam 2 U. Haha LMA has always been more focused on the horror/thriller aspect, but it is an erotic thriller so I don't think more smut would hurt. Heh! I've gotten sooo many requests for a scene with Abzi in some way. But I'm torn, as Mitsatso from AMAP, stated quite truly that no matter what I did/wrote, is there any way for Abzi to really live up to expectations? It's almost better to leave it to the imagination. =)

Evil Ending(s)/Abzi Route- Playing Adam as a mistrustful and lying person, who lies to Soren about having an appointment,butters up Tad, agrees with Hunter's ideology, was mean to Tommy, tries to engender himself to John/Jon (and then say he thinks he's better than Jon), likes Abzi's art and says he thinks Abzi's hot, kept River/Tommy situation a secret to his friend on the phone,and really got into the porn set work, that there'd be an option for Abzi to find Adam's drive and determination really alluring and towant to share the crown/throne with him - which could lead to the Abzi sex scene ( I think the easiest way to live up to expectations for that would be to offer a top or bottom Abzi option, lol) that ultimately lets you then decide to kill Abzi (with the switchblade)and take his place OR rule together.

Surrounded by enemies who want to use him, and allies who mistrust him, Adam must decide who – and what – he really is. Adam-2 has been alone for almost 244 years when Linden & Runa unexpectedly find him in his basement home. The humans are wary, having been at war with a robot army for the same amount of years. Adam leaves his father's home and is amazed to see the change that time has wrought, he has a lot to learn, puzzles to solve and big choices to make about the future of everyone, including himself.
