About this deal

The soft butterfly netting is light enough to lay directly over crops and strong enough to be used to cover frames, cages, or hoops. I checked all over the tiny starts (they were in four inch pots, with only 4-5 true leaves so far), but could not find any caterpillars or loopers. Available in variety of sizes, these cages can also be easily extended in any direction - ideal for when you're ready to add a few more goodies to the summer dining table! While cabbages do best in the ground, you can also plant them in large, deep containers filled with multi-purpose compost. It’s common for aphids, cabbage worms and slugs to chow down on the vegetables you were planning to enjoy during future meals.

Traditionally, cabbages are sown in a separate ‘seedbed’, then later moved to their final growing site.

This is the first year I've used it, but I haven't seen a tenth of the caterpillars I have in years past. Not only will the plants grow better but it's also thought this can prevent the fungal disease club root. It wasn't long before I spotted loads of caterpillars munching their way through the brussel sprout leaves. They can be enjoyed in many different ways, raw or cooked – made into coleslaw or sauerkraut, sautéed, lightly steamed and added to stir-fries, stews and soups. Cover crops as soon as you plant them and leave covered until harvest for bigger better crops free from insect damage.

To prepare cabbages in the kitchen, remove the loose, tough outer leaves and use only the inner dense head. A farmer from China reported that after installing EyouAgro cabbage netting, his yields increased by 25% compared to the previous season. Our No Frills Fruit Cages are an ideal starter plant protection cage for anyone new to grow your own. Ultra-fine insect netting is for the smaller insect pests which damage your vegetables including flea beetle, allium leaf miner and whitefly damage.Cabbages are generally easy to look after, but take care to cover them with fine-mesh netting to protect from pests. Cabbage netting can not only improve the overall health and quality of cabbage plants and other brassicas but also increase yields and profitability.
