when christina tried to dirty talk i had to skim it tho cause i was cringing so hard gjdkkgkg kinda wished that she took the opportunity to take charge better but ig she didnt sigh Priceless was hands down exceptional. This book was raw, heart wrenching and so hot, you will be panting in need of relief. Judge me all you want, but the questionable morality in this book made me absolutely giddy… OM drama - the h has recently broken up with a long-term boyfriend. He’s still around. - she also dances with OM at a party to make the H jealous I will say that it was a bit hard to get into at first. Mainly because the writing was a bit all over the place, but it evens out nicely after the first couple of chapters. I love being wrong about a book. 😅 I was sure I’d h@te this. I mean what’s to like about a dr#g addict party girl p*mp*ng herself out to her classmate for d*rty smexx? 😵‍💫😬 Sounds like MY worst nightmare…. And yet…

his whole ”mum and ex situation” was confusing me the whole book and then when i knew the truth i was just sad for him ngl She is offended, felt degraded at first but she is also thrilled and aroused by the idea also. And I wanted her to feel this way?… Cause I felt the same...? Okayyyy. In this novel the author explains an extremely powerful story that touches many aspects of life as it provides chills so many times towards the end of the book. This completely stunned the reader’s minds and managed to exceed the high expectations of all types of readers. The world’s construction is so developed and impressive that it is almost as if the writer has traveled to that place, escaped from it, and wrote everything. The supporting cast of the characters is excellent. a hint here, a nuance of meaning there, an accumulation of multiple possibilities at an intelligent pace followed by an inevitable reversal of the reader’s expectations or, in some cases, by emotion and dislocation. Roll the whole story carpet. While we recommend this book to other readers, we recommend it to older teens, primarily because it will serve them better. My issues came when I was around 80% in the book, pretty close to the climax of the story and sadly the execution was not the best in my opinion.I love you.” His rough voice pulled an involuntary sound from me. “You're mine, Christina. You always have been, from the first time I touched you.”

Manipulative best friends and nasty ex boyfriends. Someone needs to tell these idiots that being mean to people doesn’t get you what you want. idk he’s just your typical mysterious boy who’s apparently really good at sex ummm yeah?? ok idk what to say The thing is, I do recognise that this kind of thing is down to personal taste. And that it’s hard to write dirty talk. For what it’s worth, even if it didn’t do much for me directly, I did end up appreciating how true to the characters it came to feel: it’s clearly something they’re both heavily into and the way it evolves and develops over time, as their feelings towards each other change is kind of weirdly touching. And this is exactly how Priceless sneaks up on you. Like, one minute you’re recoiling from a river of girl cum and then you’re genuinely engaged in the emotional dynamic of two people who really enjoy spouting sexy nonsense at each other during sex. Because, don’t get me wrong, spouting sexy nonsense during sex is actually fun and intimate and liberating. And if the book didn’t, for me, manage to convey that with the actual dirty talk exchanged, it did make me believe in the feelings behind it.Ultimately, there’s something … sweetly equitable about their dynamic, despite the fact they’re playing with power exchange. I think because they’re college students there’s, honestly, an odd sort of innocence to it, almost? Is innocence the right word? Obviously it’s hot and dirty to them, but there’s also an air of mutual play and discovery that gives their bedroom antics a welcome lightness. And it was nice—refreshing—to see them engaging in the sort of kink that is, in fact, accessible to people on a budget. Which is to say, they have a bed and, at one point, some rope but mostly they just have each other’s bodies. I know the billionaire dom(me) complete with sex dungeon is a fantasy/trope for a reason (and one I have myself written) but—in life and art—the ever more intimate relationship between capitalism and BDSM bugs the shit out of me. I should probably at this point return to the elephant in the room. That being, you know. The bonking. Which was not for me. Like, it’s fine. Pretty much what you’d expect from a book in this particular subgenre when there’s a controlling man, a submissive women, and a large penis involved. It’s just about the mildest kind of humiliation kink you could possibly imagine (he says what a good slut she is, she gets embarrassed, they’re both into it) although there’s a bit body shaming, which is very much of those hard no kinks for me (even though, I’m not judging it as something some people can be into, it’s clearly coming from an affectionate/attracted place on the part of the hero, and it causes the heroine absolutely zero self-doubt or self-esteem issues). I think where I kept getting lost was in the … entrails of the dirty talk. I just don’t think anyone should be describing any part of their body as oozing in a sexual context. Like if something is oozing, you need to see a doctor. Or, y’know, there’s this: this book was… something. i really dont know where i sit with it?? it couldve been worse i dont think it was terrible it just… threw me off?? idk

there was a lot of smut. i wouldnt consider it good smut tho. it was pretty repetitive and boring ngl i wasnt really into. also some parts made me laugh like im sorry, but i cant take some of it seriously

oh and there was phone sex. nothing interesting there lmao if you’re interested in degrading and praising kink then this is for you. oh and he gets off on her embarrassment?? i know some people are into that but it really wasnt for me dubcon-ish - the H is paying the h for smexx but the h needs the money… so there’s a little coercion involved BLOGGER The Man of the Hour is the third book in the Next Door series, featuring Brendan and Sonia! There was, unfortunately, phone sex, though. One of the cringiest sexual interactions ever invented tbh. Also, I'm tired of the sexualisation of cheer/school uniform. It's not cute, it's not hot, bye. But still, as mentioned, this was all bearable because of the other things this book brought to the mf table. even the smut was pretty eh. it was just way too repetitive and she came SO BLOODY MUCH like she went from ”i never cum. its hard for me” to finishing 583895 times… get it ig
