This hairbrush is effective at painlessly removing tangles, removing even the most stubborn of knots. We particularly like that is has a large paddle, making it especially useful for those with longer hair. As a naturally wavy-haired gal, I always avoid brushing my hair when it’s dry. Why? Well, let’s just say I spent a large amount of my teenage years with hair that looked like an isosceles triangle because the minute I raked a hairbrush through it, all of my natural texture would disappear, and I would be left with a frizzy, undefined mass. A lot of the best hair brushes for wet hair on the market are made from plastic, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this detangling alternative from The Body Shop is made from bamboo. Sustainability credentials aside, however, this is a really good brush for all hair types.After several of our testers have been using these brushes over the past few months, we have a few updates to add to this review! The Wet Brush balls on the end of its comb’s bristles deteriorate over time, and make the brush less effective after several months. Additionally, one of our testers reported that the handle of their Wet Brush broke after 9 months of consistent use. While these long term updates do detract from the Wet Brush in comparison to Tangle Teezer, we still believe that Wet Brush is the best detangling hairbrush even though its long term durability isn’t as great as the Tangle Teezer’s.
