About this deal

Overall, two very well performing coils. For me the Zeus Sub Ohm, with either of these coils, is exactly what I want from a sub tank. Great flavour production and both coils have lasted. I’ve put about 50ml of liquid through each of them and they’re still performing. Power Curves – This lets you set you the power of each second of your vape. If you want 200 watts on the first second and 30 watts on the next, you can do that. I really enjoyed the X2 0.3Ω coil that I had with the Aegis Solo Kit, they perform extremely well, flavour is ace, and at around 40w they were a lovely vape.

This releases the top section from the main body, allowing you to simply lift the top section of the tank away. There are two pretty decent sized e-juice openings, choose either one to fill with your favorite e-liquid. The Cerberus Tank has been used by Geekvape for quite a while now, but it’s easy to see why. There’s nothing too fancy or smart about it but it’s a good all rounder for both performance and build quality. The Aegis X and Aegis Legend are similar in terms of design and functionality. They possess many of the same power modes and are both durable. However, one of the most significant differences is that the Aegis X is slightly more responsive due to a larger screen and an improved chip. So let's dive straight in, the Geekvape Aegis series has been designed with durability and performance in mind. A lot of different companies claim to have durable products. Is the Aegis x just another empty claim or is it the real deal? I hope to answer this question and more in my review. What's in the box: Many safety features are worth noting. The Aegis X vape has typical safety features of a box mod like a 10-second cut-off, short circuit, overcharge, overheat, and overcurrent protection. Still, it also has extra safeguards that make it more durable.

How Does The Geekvape Aegis X Kit Perform?

This is super clever, with the ABB option activated, the device will automatically Balance your battery levels. Yes it can take some time, but effectively what it’s doing is taking charge out of the more full battery, and levelling the charge levels out. However, one unfortunate drop, landing at the wrong angle, could possibly leave you without a usable device.

Technically, the TCR should be 92 for SS316 wire (88-92) but as with the other Geekvape mods, the default for SS mode is 105 (which is the TCR for SS304 wire). Still, the fact you can just use the default SS mode for the most common SS wire used in vaping without adjustment is a good thing, regardless of the TCR figure. It doesn’t look like a lot of damage, but its caused problems, meaning the device is now difficult to use.

Final Thoughts

We highly recommend using an external battery charger for 18650 battery mods, as it helps with balanced charging and prolongs the life of the battery and mod, such as from worn out microUSB port. Never use damaged or improperly wrapped batteries with this device. We recommend all 18650/20700/21700 battery mods to use matching batteries with similar brand, model, and battery state at all times. Believe me, if my enquiries had shown this issue I had to be common then this review would not have taken place and would have ended up a "warning" instead. As it is I can accept that it is not, to my knowledge, at this point a design fault but rather a rare anomaly which ended up in my hands. I found the X1 coils take quite a while to break in fully – around 4 tanks. Which in this case, meant running through 22ml of e-liquid. That’s pretty painstaking. But eventually the flavour comes through.
