About this deal

After putting this palette to the test for a while now, I wanted to share with you a full run-down review and if I think its worth the spend. The Tarte Tartelette Toasted palette came out at the tail end of last year and captured my attention right away. As a self-proclaimed warm toned eyeshadow lover, I knew I wanted this palette for myself. After kindly receiving this palette as a Christmas present and have been putting it to the test ever since. smarty pants Ingredients: Talc, mica, silica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, manganese violet (CI 77742), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). You can apply these methods with the color eyeshadow palette of your choice. For a natural look, you'll want to choose an eye shadow palette with neutral hues, and pair it with a toned down lip gloss lip liner. Use a nude eyeshadow that matches your skin tone. This color will make an excellent base for all over the lid. To add some definition, blend a slightly darker shade of pigmented eyeshadow makeup into your crease. Depending on how much definition you want, use a darker shade to line the lash line. I apply eyeshadows with a primer because my lids are way too oily. These shadows lasted a good 8-9 hours with primer. Without primer, my eyelids turn everything to mush. It would be especially bad for these shades coz of the softness of texture of these shadows.

For my first look I am going super warm. I focused on using the middle row mostly. With these super warm looks, while they make my eyes look more brown, I also feel they make me look quite pasty, so I try to go in with a bit of eyeliner to make my eyes stand out more. That way, I feel a look like this pops more and really adds that sultry aspect to it that makes these looks work. Fireside: Described by the brand as a Deep Plum. I don’t know how it seems plum to Tarte. The deepest shade in the palette. This is a dark, deep, dirty brown shade with a matte finish. It has good pigmentation and works very well to deepen the eye look or even as an eyeliner. Look 2 – This took a lot of effort in refraining to not go too warm. Also, it required a lot of blending. I tried to show the diversity in the palette by going more golden copper than warm rusty. activist Ingredients: Talc, silica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, ethylhexyl palmitate, sodium dehydroacetate, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, vanillin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, hexylene glycol, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, kaolin, carmine (CI 75470), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), manganese violet (CI 77742), ultramarines (CI 77007).

I've used all four Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow palettes and want to share a look of each of them in this post. And that neutral undertone can easily be seen in the swatches. Yes it’s warm, but it is a very wearable warm toned palette. The warmest tones are housed in the middle and the other shades are more golden and brown. As you can see, pigmentation is great. One swipe of a finger gives you this result. The dark matte brown is a great staple and there are some good transition shades.Do you need this palette? If you like neutral looks and have loads of neutral palettes, go ahead and skip this. However, if you use only neutrals and are looking for something more varied – this warm take on a neutral palette may just be your jam. It isn’t a must-have palette, but if you do buy it, you will quite enjoy it. Needed a bit of variation in tone with regards to the shimmer shades. Out of the 3 main shimmer shades, two are variations of copper. Could have done with a more rust toned shimmer or a even a slightly plum-my one.

As I mentioned in my Pixi palette review, I have been using the same eye-primer routine when using this palette. Benefit’s Lemon aid followed by Urban Decay’s Primer Potion set with a powder matching my skintone. Using this routine I find that the shadows wear for around 6-7 hours before fading. I do notice that the shimmers are the first to go with the matte shades hanging in a little while longer before wearing away. I find this comparable to most of my other high-end palettes, so I’m pleased with the wear time.Urban Decay Heat Eyeshadow Palette launched a few short months ago and it definitely remains the warmest, richest, and most pigmented selection of fiery nudes around. It in fact might have you questioning of you need the Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette if you already own Heat. The Tarte Toasted palette definitely has some similarities to the Urban Decay Heat palette. I don’t own the Heat palette, so I can’t compare them in terms of quality. However, I do own two other naked palettes and rate them very highly in my collection. The deciding factor for me was I wanted to try a palette from Tarte, as I was less familiar with their products. Even though the Heat palette makes me drool when I look at swatches, I felt the Toasted had a more wearable range of shades for my taste. That being said I’m not ruling out getting the Heat palette in the future. Both palette have 12 shadows and the price point is very similar. As is the amount of eye shadows in each pan, so there isn’t much between them. It really comes down to personal preference. Out of the 12 shades there are 7 mattes, 3 shimmers, one matte with glitter and one glitter shade. As you can see the palette is very much a gold/ orange/ brown toned palette. Not as red as Urban Decay’s Naked Heat and not as orange as a Morphe 35O. The shades are a bit more wearable and neutral, which is why this is quite possibly one of the best warm toned palettes out there. The Swatches S’more: Described by the brand as a Pinky Beige color. This is a light warm beige shade in matte finish. The texture is buttery smooth and very finely milled. It works well as a matte highlight shade or to set the primer with it. It is a bit powdery – but not chalky. It has good pigmentation.

If you're looking for a quality and in my opinion, one of the BEST eyeshadow palettes to add to your collection or if you're a beginner to make up. One (or all - you can't have too much makeup!) of these will be perfect splurge on! The colours blend easily and mesh very well together – without getting muddy. Though not as easily as say, the shadows from Natasha Denona, but you get the gist.Look 1 – This is the first look that I tried with the palette. Needless to say, it is full on warm shades from the palette – it’s all about the burnt orange and metallic bronze. From left to right: Flame (shimmer), Cozy (matte), Candle (frost), Latte (matte), Simmer (shimmer), Fireside (matte). Toasted vs Heat If you’re into warm shades you’re bound to love this. It’s basically autumn in a palette. All the shades of all the falling leaves are right here in this palette. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when
