About this deal

Of course, with some traditional games, it is the sheer simplicity that makes them work. For example Jenga, Connect 4 or dominoes don’t need a board and so can be played almost anywhere. You can even find giant versions of these games to play in your garden in the summer months. It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! It does come down to rolling well, but there is plenty of tension and plenty to do to complicate things for others or to help yourself. We haven't even played that often, but this game is a gem.

I am extremely competitive, think monopoly for frustration and competitiveness and times that by 10, this game really did bring the worst out it me. Rating: Would I recommend The Really Nasty Horse Racing Game? Absolutely! It is a 5/5 from me, if I am really honest, if I had to score out of 10, it would be 10/10 There are things to watch: long shots can pay off hugely and if someone bets high they can really get ahead - you have to keep in mind which race is being run for how much prize money, who has how much funds they are likely to bet and trying to stop them if you can. I'm not sure that a runaway leader can be stopped once they pull off a huge bet. But they call it a long shot for a reason. Remember, be cagey, cunning, whatever it takes to make sure you and your horse wins. You will need your wit about you as you will need to work out the odds when placing your bets too. Engaging, competitive and above all loads of fun, every family needs a few modern and traditional board games in the cupboard for a rainy day! Top Products in Modern Board & Traditional Games• Trivial Pursuit Lord of The Rings Edition Winning Moves 31462 Game LOTRBefore you start the game, each player must make the commitment on which horse will run in which race.

Whether it’s a rainy Sunday afternoon or a raucous festive treat, nothing brings family and friends together quite like a board game. From traditional board game favourites like Monopoly, Scrabble and Cluedo to modern board games like Balderdash, Scatergories and Taboo. Themed Games The first edition, if you can find it, is the best. It has the big whiteboard on an stand for the odds. Newer editions you're supposed to just write it on the board. Also, the earlier ones have miniatures, new ones have these kind of weird flat plastic stand-ups. Conjure up your most devious plan as your main goal and objective is to win as much money as you can at the races and the good thing about this, there are a couple of ways to do this.Where the game gets really interesting (or really nasty) is with the race event cards. These allow players to influence the race beyond dice roles and horse grades. Cards can be used to turn a horse around the wrong way, force them to re-start the race, cause them to fall over at the fences or just have them collapse in the middle of the flat. There are also defensive cards to allow remounts and, in the tumultuous final race, cards that can disrupt or even alter the final outcome such as objections and photo finishes. theracingforum.co.uk has been a home to passionate debate and intelligent discussion for horse racing enthusiasts since the year 2000. For 2 to 6 players (best with 4 to 6 players), ages 8 and up. Designed by Reiner Knizia, published by Face 2 Face Games. Please note that the standard UPS UK or Parcelforce 24 or 48 services do not deliver on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holidays.

You can even buy a set that allows you to customise your Monopoly board to your own neighbourhood or your favourite TV show. Deluxe and Luxury You start the game with a stable of horses numbered from one to six, with one being the fastest. During the race the players move their horses around the board, either trying to reach the finish line before the others or attempting to make sure the horse they bet on finishes first. How fast a horse moves depends on their grade, which is assigned at the beginning of the race and gives them a certain amount of leeway with dice roles, also giving players clues on who to bet on depending on the size of the stakes. Grades revolve with each subsequent race, so every horse gets to be the fastest horse at least once. Your horse will need to come first, second or third, but if you are anything like me, there is no competition as my ultimate goal was to make sure my horse came first. Many other games also come in luxury versions so you can upgrade your favourite in style.
