About this deal

When we tested the decibels, the Pro gave us 66dB at the highest speed, 8 decibels less than the 4 th generation Pro, so it’s quieter indeed. This is how we measure noise levels of the 5th generation Theragun PRO. The mini is the weakest of all Theraguns as far as the stall force is concerned. It stalls with about 15-20lbs. of pressure applied. While this may be expected for the least powerful Theragun, we expressed our disappointment while reviewing it. As we took it out of the box, we found that the new Pro is the same size as its predecessor (still available at therabody.com), just as we expected. This means it is slightly bigger than the Elite, but noticeably larger than the Prime. The Pro comes with 6 attachments, so one more than the Elite and the same as the G4. Theragun PRO comes with 6 attachments. If you are buff with muscles or a serious performer, you need a powerful, high stall force gun with a long amplitude. The Pro delivers all these without compromising.

In our hands, it felt slightly heavier than the Elite and Prime – actually 0.3lbs heavier. We suspected that it’s because it carries the pride of the family – a factor we explore further in our review.January 2, 2023 Added Bob and Brad D6 Pro as an alternative, following our in-depth test. (Author: Luke) It gets even better because the Achedaway Pro has 80lbs. advertised stall force. However, when we used it for our Achedaway Pro review, we realized it was less (probably closer to 60 lbs.) but still on par with what the Theragun Pro offers. Theragun PRO vs Achedaway Pro. Both devices are workhorses for demanding tasks.

Prime has no OLED screen like the Elite and Pro models. Instead it has simple LED indicators for speeds and battery charge level. First, Theraguns are expensive (albeit premium) devices so you’ll need every bit of information if you’re going to get your money’s worth. The Supersoft attachment is our favorite one specifically because you can easily use it on bony areas. Despite the general recommendation against using massage guns on these areas, the Supersoft attachment safely allows for it. The new 2 nd generation Mini has a much-anticipated USB charging ability. Most guns in its category have USB charging, so the Mini finally catched up.

The bottom line

Just like the Pro, the Achedaway Pro has a 16mm amplitude which guarantees a deep tissue percussive therapy massage. October 5, 2023 FSA/HSA information changes. Some internal and external linking corrects. (Author: Greg) The noise has indeed been reduced by about a fifth. The latest Pro is now even quieter than the Elite. However, we still think a top-shelf and the most expensive device on the market should be one of the quietest ones – and this one is definitely not. First, the new Pro no longer comes with two batteries. There is just one. That’s perhaps the biggest surprise, and it may feel like a downgrade for some users – think of busy chiros and physios. Also, the dual-battery setup was probably one of the things that somewhat justified the Pro’s hefty price.

The Cone was the firmest one that was meant to work on pinpoint areas, so if you plan to use the device aggressively, e.g., on ligaments around the hands and feet, you might miss it. But at least there is an option to buy it separately. When it comes to the performance features, Ekrin B37s offers a combination of medium amplitude, enormous stall force, and high-intensity percussions. Both the Pro and the Elite have the glossy parts. The only thing is that these are fingerprint magnets and look rather untidy after using the device. They also both look more stylish than the Prime. It’s not the biggest device we have seen, but since it’s the top Theragun device (Pro), it can get away with a tad bit of extra size. Unless you’re a therapist or a chiropractor, or you need to give a massage to another person, or you’re looking for plenty of stall force (bodybuilders, pro athletes, and weightlifters), Elite will be good enough for the job. Both are entry-level devices that are good for low to semi-intensive massaging i.e. warming up, relaxation, etc. However, they might not be strong enough to do a good job massaging large muscle groups or for people with a lot of muscle mass. So is there anything that justifies the Pro being the most expensive gun out there? ProCare warranty program. Konrad, A., et al. (2020).
