Starting with the pull cord tends to be quite good but some people will struggle with the amount of exertion needed to get it going properly when cold, again it needs quite a bit of strength and personal power.
Excellent lawn mower, really good quality and price. Electric start is nice feature and one of the biggest plus points for this mower that I wasn’t really expecting was how quiet it is when in use. Wish I had bought this sooner As it is self propelled, it is a dream to work with as all the hard graft of pushing up hills and around larger type gardens is more or less gone Absolute dream! We have 5 big lawns, and this baby cut them down with ease, even after 'No Mow May'! Really easy to set up and a dream to operate. Highly recommended!

Bought this in the recent sale. It is large and heavy, definitely a 2 man job lifting it out of the box. It was easy to set up the handles. Once started (after 6 hour wait to charge battery) it works well, muvh better than the old mower. Overall I am very satisfied with the mower. For the perfect, tailored cut on your lawn, the HYM460SPE can be easily adjusted between its 6 different cutting heights - from 25mm to 75mm - by using a single height adjusting lever, giving you complete control over your lawn care needs. For the cutting height, the mower cleverly allows this to be set in accordance with the height of the grass you are cutting. This is due to the single-lever central height adjuster which enables the user to set 6 different cutting heights between 25mm and 75mm. This is a good range of cutting heights which compares well to other brands of mower, allowing you to adjust the cutting height according to the lawn condition and season. Started first time after assembly, slight difficulty in trying to fix the recoil cord retainer as there is no clear instruction on how to fit it A free delivery to the UK mainland is a nice bonus to have and the overall price for self-propelled is more or less on par with other similar self-propelled lawn mowers seen under various other brands.
