About this deal

Well-Laid Plans (WLP) is an amazing card. It's one of the best cards for the Silent. It has so much utility. It's also remarkably useful against Gremlin Nob and Lagavulin since you can carry the Neutralize (only 1 turn of weak unupgraded) to an important turn.

Choke - Basically a weaker version of Finisher. the 2 cost means it can't be used as effectively, but I think the effect cuts through shields because it reads "loses 3/5 HP" and not takes 3/5 damage. Could be useful, but poison is typically better for that. Might be worth taking if you have enough shivs, but I tend to avoid it personally. Low-Medium priority upgrade. Card Removal is for people who already have cards and have spare money to use on this. It's a luxury. Remember though, we're poor.WLP+ allows us to retain two cards. It's also not particularly awful but we don't really have two cards worth retaining each turn anyways. Move to 2012, go to the closet on the right and read ALL notes in this closet to get an achievement "Dear Diary". It was Gremlin Leader. We only lost a little bit of health, so it's not too bad overall. We got another Steroid Potion (so it's a bit of a waste that we never used the original one) but I'd rather hold the Thorns Potion for the Heart rather than take another Steroid Potion. We also get a Blood Vial (heal 2 HP upon entering combat). It's a pretty okay Relic.

Oddly Smooth Stone - At the start of each combat, gain 1 dexterity. Solid relic, basically an innate 1/2 or 1/3 footwork, I like having it, but I've never bought it. Talk to the secretary, then open the big red doors to see Mr Hill. Talk to him, and he'll hand you a red key card. [Working for the Man] Bloody Idol - Whenever you gain gold, heal 5 HP - if you happen to get the golden idol, then get this event, this is a very solid relic, congrats. Understanding and developing the mind throughout life - the NEW book from the creator of the chimp management mind model and author of the million copy selling The Chimp Paradox. Velvet Choker - Gain 1 energy at the start of each turn. You cannot play more than 6 cards per turn. It's an energy relic, but since a lot of Silent's cards are low cost it ends up restraining me a lot. The tradeoff is usually worth it, but since I like to play a lot of cycle cards personally I usually avoid it.Card Removal is a luxury. We happen to have a lot of money and nothing to spend it on. Hey, we can afford luxuries! After the Chimp Paradox came out, teachers and parents requested Peters write the model at a children’s level, and he started to work with schools. Peters already knew young children could understand the model. While a psychiatrist, he says, ‘my youngest student was three. He managed his own temper tantrums. The parents described it as a miracle! Once I explained to him that this wasn’t him, it was a naughty chimp, he got that.’

Sentries - The easiest elite encounter. Start with the outside sentry with the lowest HP. That way after you get the first down you're taking only 9 dmg/turn which is manageable most of the time. Can be a long fight but usually does the least damage. Explosive/Fire potions will help you kill the first sentry, which lets you get to the much safer point in the encounter during which you're only taking 9 damage per turn instead of 18 and 9 alternating, which will help you prevent a lot of damage. The Silent Guides will help challenge behaviours such as: being overly self-critical, fear of failure, low self-esteem and more. Climb down the ladder and spill wallpaper paste into the small poison ivy plant. [Contaminator] When you go into the future now, it won't have spiralled up the wall.I will be skipping talking about fights, as that tends to be simple math and learning enemy patterns. Here was the card choice for killing the first enemy (a Cultist). Golden Idol - Enemies drop 25% more gold - Great relic and it comes in act 1, if you find it, definitely don't take ectoplasm. Tear off the wallpaper in the center of the room. Move to 1972 and open the curtains on the window. Take the can of wallpaper glue. Turn on the floor lamp and take the key out of it. Using this key, open the left door and go outside.

Bullet Time (BT) is great. If I draw this turn 1, I get to play 8 more cards. It also has insanely good synergies with WLP. It also solves my 3 energy problem. Wow! You will be offered either 2 options (if you did not reach the first boss in your last run) or 4 options (if you did) for starting bonuses.Looter (12.5% chance) - Pretty straightforward, sometimes they run faster than other times, but be sure to kill him even if it means taking a bit of damage because losing that gold can be pretty bad, especially if you have a crucial shop coming up. Now you are at the subway station. Move to the present (1792), and then take another quarter from the payphone on the right. There are two keys to beating Time Eater. First, don't screw yourself over by leaving the counter on 10 or 11 at the end of a turn. If you can only play one or two cards in a turn, it is very likely that you are unable to prevent a big swing. The ideal is pacing yourself so that the counter hits 12 precisely when you are done with a turn. A pace of three four-card turns is probably the easiest to hit, but you might want to go for four three-card turns or two six-card turns. It's just a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. The Silent starts out with 70 HP, which is the lowest of the four classes in the game. However, as everyone is relatively squishy (at least compared to most video games), this isn’t much of a downside. And with smart play, you can minimize this weakness.
