About this deal

Turn the toothbrush on with a brush head attached. Slowly place the handle onto the charging stand (connected to power).

This would explain why one (the original) has 2 brushing intensities, and the replacements do not. This is because the 3100 has only 1 mode & 1 brushing intensity, not 2 like the 4100 Series. Reply My diamondclean toothbrush beeps randomly and repeatedly while sitting on the charger. It is 2 beeps as if I have just placed it on the charger but happens all day when I am nowhere near the toothbrush. Any advice? ReplyThis does impact the usable battery life with most models offering just 2 weeks on a full charge, whereby the ProtectiveClean can offer a good couple of weeks extra life from the standard cleaning mode. Hi Alysaa. I have not heard of these 2 lights blinking together before. It sounds like something has gone wrong there. Are you referring to the brush head that attaches to the handle? The heads should have a secure fit and not wobble. I am not sure what you mean exactly about ‘plastic bushing’. Reply Good day. No the tip cannot be dismissed. I tried that and yes, the app is up to date. Thanks. I will reach out to them. Reply

Without a brush head attached to the handle, a change in vibration pattern may well be difficult to detect. Some white handles have a colored power button that gives an accent to the handle. Others have colored handles with white brush heads. But, the 4000 Series motor has been tuned so that the ‘amplitude’ (the distance covered or the sweep angle of the bristles) is higher. My Sonicare just started a rythmic patterned signal in the cradle and doesn’t respond to the off /on button. What’s up? Reply Just bought a Sonicare 4100 and when I try to deactivate the Easy-Start by pushing the power button whle it’s in the charger, it makes a loud vibration noise (like the thing is brushing) and I never hear a beep. What am I doing wrong?! Reply The brush heads you have should be compatible with a newer model. I think it is quite likely a new model will be more cost effective to source over and about finding a battery and repairing it. Reply It’s a really close call when it comes to the features here, as both brands offer a multitude of advanced functions. We think Sonicare has the edge, due to the fact that the Smart 9500 built-in pressure sensor informs you when you are brushing too hard. This toothbrush is also designed to supplement your dental regime, as the Sonicare is designed to whiten while brushing. Oral B vs Sonicare: Benefits The pressure sensor is enabled by holding the mode/intensity button and by pressing the power button twice while on a charger.

Oral B is the electric toothbrush to invest in if you suffer from sensitive teeth and gums. The small round head brush head creates micro-vibrations and a gentle brushing experience. Plus, you get real-time data sent to your phone on your brushing performance. Many Sonicare brushes will beep when they are first placed on the charger, to signal that the brush has been detected and charging. It sounds a bit odd Elizabeth. What Sonicare brush do you have? Do you know the model name or number? Reply In a bathroom with no windows, use a pea size dab of toothpaste when I brush (Sensodyn), and no cleaning products what-so-ever EVER used on my toothbrush. There should be a plastic bushing at the bottom of the stem that holds the brush and it appears to be missing so head (I’ve tried several including the on that came with the device) does not secure to the base and wobbles… Reply

Movements are only 1 part of the equation in achieving clean teeth. And due to the way the 4100 Series has been tuned, it is very difficult to notice the difference, even though it does exist. The light is a way of signalling to you and me as a user that it is time to replace the bristles. Failing to do so can compromise the cleaning results and our teeth and gums. The Philips A3 Premium All-in-One brush head provides complete care for your teeth, mouth and gums. It features angled bristles with a curved profile and triangular tips that remove up to 20x more plaque and 100% more stains than a manual toothbrush. Gum health improves up to 15x than it would with a manual brush. These heads also feature a blue color that fades away when its time to switch heads.
