About this deal

Cocker has been naturally gifted with the ability to seduce by whispering sweet nothings, between moans and hip swishes from his lanky figure, his fingers always curled in that come-hither sort of way. Sent In By: Val Athanassiou on 30 October 2023 Purchased my first item on a family recommendation (was sweating it because it was quite a special product) and it was delivered in bulletproof packaging, resisting the usual AusPost tough love.

They think they've got us beat, but revenge is going to be so sweet," snarls Cocker, before the second track, "Pencil Skirt," cues up—an anthem about screwing over the rich by, literally, screwing their wives. His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm. What makes Cocker's brand of crooning wordsmithery so important to the genre is that he really captured the ennui and frustration of middle-class youth.

He sang for people like himself—common people, as their hit single would have it—those raised on a diet of broken biscuits, those who would drink and dance and screw because there's nothing else to do. A brilliant album and one that not only captured Pulp at their absolute peak but is also one of the most important recordings ever submitted to wax in British music history. By that summer Britpop had reached – depending on your point of view – either its apex or nadir, when Blur and Oasis were involved in a chart battle that dominated newspapers and made the BBC’s Six O’Clock News. For those of us who were around in 1995, I think this Pulp masterpiece really changed the game and provided so much pleasure.

Island/UMC did a really nice deluxe 25th version of His N' Hers in 2019, white vinyl, Abbey Road mastering, sounded great. The entire process went from 'take my money' to 'take my breath away', it was simple, straightforward and superb. You can always tell a novice "audiophile" on here when they are championing Digital Music On vinyl over proper pressings like the Plain Recordings version that's mastered straight from the analog tapes. This might be the best of the lot I’ve owned but the CD and even the streaming service versions are superior to this and any others.now hooked on bands I’d never heard of let alone exploring some different sounds outside my Laneway.

Following the recent renewal of interest in Britpop comes the reissue of Pulp's widely revered 1995 LP 'Different Class'. Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.Everyone already said everything about the pressing itself so I have nothing else to add about that. I have two copies bought when released and both dreadful quality pressings in fact the worst I've ever seen - both copies were replacements . The only downside to it all is the fact that my own perfect and pristine copy on vinyl with interchangeable sleeves was lost years ago due to burst water pipe.
