About this deal

So the water pump/motorised valve to central heating may switch off/on many times an hour, but the boiler likely has at least an hours burn at a time. However as far as I can see your using a mega flow, my understanding is the boiler heats the water store at most economic rate, then switches off, and has no direct connection to central heating, then a pump, which could be multi speed, when required circulates the water from the store around the home, the idea is you can use solid fuel, gas, and electric (normally latter from solar panels) all to heat one central heat store. Operating instructions, user manual, owner's manual, installation manual, workshop manual, repair manual, service manual, illustrated parts list, electric schematics, electronic schematics.... You can have as many off/on thermostats as you like wired in parallel in fact many people have two, one set to room temperature and one set to stop freezing, only when using modulating thermostats are you limited to one.

I have tried to trace wires in the wiring centre but can't identify what is what, the megaflow may be nothing to do with central heating, it may be for domestic hot water only. Megaflow is a make rather than system, but in essence it is a combined heat store and calorifier and can work in many different ways, but main idea is every time a boiler switches off any heat within it is lost out of the flue, so the boiler can run for an extended time, but the heat can be used as and when required. It also allows multi heat sources to all heat the same home.

So to start with what does the pipe work look like, is it a two port or three port valve and how many valves? The aim is to identify the system in use. And identify the wires only then can you change anything. It is a slow progress and you need to do it step by step. British Gas UP1 Boiler Controller Instructions. AdvantageSW. As to how the water is controlled can vary, it could be motorised valves, it could be multi speed pumps, it could be electronic radiator valves TRV. It could follow a simple S-Plan or it could have a very complex method of control. To remove you need to know where connected, often they connect at a wiring centre which is often located near the motorised valves, the wire colours for the motorised valves are reasonably standard so once you know the plan you are using you can then use the colours of the valve cores to identify the thermostat connections. This booklet will give you easy to follow instructions to allow you to set your BUP2 Programmer to the 7 Day, (different times every day) program. Contents.
