The shade Gilded Honey is quite an unusual one depending on the light and how much you build it up depends on the tone that this takes on the skin. Looking at the pan you’d be fooled into thinking that this is really warm and golden and you have to build it to get to that kind of tone. But that’s the thing that I love about this shade as it can give you more than one look with one product. This deluxe sample has lasted me around 6 months of daily use I would guess by the time it’s going to be finished (I’m getting close to it being done now!) and is roughly half the size of the original. So if you were going to use the full size highlight daily you’d get around a year out of it, which isn’t too bad. Also if you like highlighter and only have one highlighter in your collection, kudos, I don’t know how you’ve managed not to amass enough to be seen from space. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but With a light hand and one ‘coat’ of the powder on the cheekbones, nose tip and cupids bow gives this soft champagne tone to the skin that just creates a really dewy like glow to the skin – in a lot of lights it can look almost icy and it’s really only under sun that the warm pigment jumps out at you. If I want something more obviously always golden/obvious or intense (or all three) I tend to go in with a second layer on my cheekbones only (no one needs a golden nosed Rudolph or look like they have a golden moustache) to build up to the shade closer to how it looks in the pan.

Baked Gelato Application and Pigmentation: This highlighter is easy to apply. My two favorite methods of applying this product – with a stippling brush for a sheer wash or my fingertips for the most concentrated color. This highlighter does not go sheer, but it is easily buildable, which is a good quality to have and you cannot easily go overboard. You can go for a subtle glow or high impact JLo glow depending on how much you apply. The highlight was the only thing included in the makeup bag which wasn’t full size, but it was a generous deluxe size and I’ve had it on the go since Christmas as my go to for most days and it’s almost empty now… so it’s had a really good try and I’ve managed to collect up all of my thoughts.
