The Lies We Told, is a book I stayed up to finish, it's action packed; a page turner that you don't, almost can't put down until it's over, if your anything like me, at least – I had to know what the future could be for these two beautiful and ultimately amazing woman. Even after his dirty secrets are aired and his flaws are exposed, there is a part of the reader that still hopes he is okay, mainly because of the pain of those suffering due to his disappearance. They are struggling to conceive and she has multiple miscarriages (only one in the time period of the story).I am assuming their parents being murdered when Maya was 14 and Rebecca was 18 shaped their already present personalities.
