About this deal

at Mayfield Salisbury Church, in which a community of Scottish islanders 'rescue' a shipload of whisky during WW2. Bits 'N' Pieces at Leith Arches'explores the dangers of drug stigma and misinformation in modern society'.

Adopting an elephant at the zoo turns out to be much more than main character Sam bargained for as a big, blue and bossy elephant turns up to live with him, uninvited! At Central Hall, Family Matters is 'a powerful look at the myriad meanings of the word "family" and the importance of finding where you fit in'. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars, as it has its merits but also some areas for improvement. Children would find this book humerus, and it complements ‘You can’t take an Elephant on the Bus’ by Patricia Cleveland-Peck quite well as the elephant goes on a plane and on a bike which clearly isn’t the best modes of transport for an elephant.Children will be especially delighted by the unpleasant elephant (who is surely much more than just 'slightly' annoying) and joining in with his regular refrain of 'Silly Boy! And if you’re a regular festival goer and already have tickets – you could see even more shows and pay nothing more. Poppyscotland are proud to host a refreshing, uplifting showcase of laugh-out-loud comedy created by Armed Forces veterans' in The Recovery Through Comedy Show at Lady Haig's Poppy Factory. The 1990-set Better Days at Just the Tonic follows 19-year-old Danny, who 'stands at the crossroads of football violence and house music'. The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland present two shows at Assembly: Big Fish is 'based on Daniel Wallace's novel and Tim Burton's movie', while Edges is 'a contemporary song-cycle which explores universal issues in a charming, honest way, asking –who am I and what will I become?

Filled with all the wacky and wonderful characters in David Walliams' books, you can download any of these free activity sheets for hours of fun and learning at home!
