For example, a size 1 diaper’s weight range is for a baby who is between 8 and 14 pounds, whereas a size 2 diaper’s weight range is between 12 and 18 pounds. Most of the time, your baby's weight will fall neatly within the range of a certain nappy size, producing a good fit. In some cases, you might have a choice of two sizes, as the weight ranges can sometimes overlap. If a nappy is too big, urine and poo may run out through gaps between the nappy and the skin before the nappy can absorb it.
