About this deal

Playing with Dolls (HD, 16 min) — Typical EPK-style featurette with cast and crew interviews full of praise and zeal for each other while also talking about the plot and characters. Two versions of the film: the 98-minute cut, presented in Italian and English, and the longer, 108-minute version, assembled from the original camera negative and an archival print and presented in both Italian and a newly created hybrid English/Italian mix* High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation of Kyra Elise Gardner's definitive documentary on the Child's Play franchise

restorations of all four films from the original 35mm camera negatives, with El Puro newly restored by Arrow Films for this release In Paolo Bianchini’s I Want Him Dead (1968), American actor Craig Hill ( The Bloodstained Shadow) stars as an ex-Confederate soldier who vows revenge after his sister is raped and murdered, in so doing setting him on a collision course with a dastardly plot to disrupt peace talks between the North and South. Next, in Edoardo Mulargia’s El Puro (1969; a.k.a. The Reward’s Yours… The Man’s Mine), western icon Robert Woods ( My Name is Pecos) gives arguably his greatest performance as a legendary gunfighter forced to emerge from hiding after the bounty hunters on his tail murder the tender-hearted barmaid (Rosalba Neri, Smile Before Death) who offered him a new life. The Blu-ray edition will feature the same special features but all of the feaures will be presented in High Definition (1080p) Blu-Ray. America’s youth are often targets of all kinds of branding. In the halls of horror, though, there are few films that take that blind acceptance in this society and turn it into a physical threat. That’s merely one way in which the ongoing Child’s Play series, now seven films deep, gets its strength from. The other HAS TO come from Douriff’s voice work as the foul-mouthed Good Guys doll who only wants to kill, kill, kill his way out his plastic trappings. That was 1988 and Child’s Play was the horror hit few saw coming. Two years later, Child’s Play 2 was released and fans came out to make that film another success. And so it goes with Child's Play 3 which was largely dismissed by the press as rubbish. It looks damn new again here. The Making of Child's Play (SD, 6 min) — The vintage featurette is your basic, run-of-the-mill EPK piece, which functions purely for promotional purposes. One neat thing though, the featurette shows a great deal of the special puppet effects that went into the making of the movie. High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation of Kyra Gardner’s definitive documentary on the Child’s Play franchise

Spotlight on Location (SD, 10 min) — Standard EPK featurette with the usual assortment of cast & crew interviews and BTS footage. Feature Commentary with Director Don Mancini, Puppeteer Tony Gardner and Star Fiona Dourif (Both Versions)
