About this deal

Before I left my job at a local nursery to go to university, I bought this book for the children in the preschool class and I can't count the number of times we read it. The choice of a back garden for developing children’s sense of curiosity was just wonderful, as was the theme of “planting”.

The concept of growing and how slowly things go when a baby is involved is well-conveyed, I'll say that.Esbaum gracefully and humorously presents the downsides of a new baby while simultaneously showing the sweet way a little sibling looks up to their big brother or sister. Now this one has received the same treatment, he loves the bright colours, there is enough text on each page that he's engaged but doesn't become bored. When he helps his mum in the garden by planting some seeds, he can't quite believe his eyes the next morning. Conifers and ginkgoes exploded in diversity during the Jurassic Period, 201 to 145 million years ago. They thrive in warm, tropical climates and the distribution of their fossils can help us understand how climate has changed over long periods of time.

The clear and colourful illustrations by Ed Eaves hit every spot for a child’s imagination, and by the end of the story, one of my little boys asked: “Can we plant seeds like Albie did? For this he drew two pictures - one of the tyrannosaurus and stegosaurus fighting, and the other of the jungle that grows outside Albie's bedroom window. He said, "I like that the tyrannosaurus and stegosaurus were fighting, and I like that the pterodactyl lifted Albie right up into the sky. It wasn't fun to read aloud, either, so I'm not sure where this book would fall in terms of ideal reading age or level. Could be used for discussions about growing and predicting what might happen, or for dinosaurs, or for "what it.A fun, cute book to share with them and show them what being an older brother or sister is going to be like. Young readers who are expecting a baby brother or sister will have a lot of fun with the lessons in this fun picture book.

Other groups of large theropods tended to have more steady rates of growth over a longer period of time. We purchased this after my 3 year old Son read, loved and learned word for word this authors other book 'Alien School'.This silly story about getting a new baby (dinosaur) in the house will keep toddlers engaged and roaring for more.

Silly humor and sincere moments make this hilarious and useful “guide” a must for every big brother and big sister to-be. You can teach the baby just about everything--from peek-a-boo to roaring to table manners to bedtime. The box folds up into a fun 3D play scene with moveable dinosaur characters and a tray in the middle to grow your cress garden. Since then, a project has been started to plant the species at sites across the world to safeguard its survival. MIKE BOLDT is the New York Times bestselling illustrator of Just Try One Bite by Adam Mansbach and Camila Alves McConaughey. At first I wouldn't have believed it, but this dinosaur family saga contains some excellent insights into how to become a good big brother or sister. As part of our Urban Nature Project, we’re planting a dinosaur garden in front of our iconic building.
