About this deal

The Things We Leave Unfinished was a beautiful and tragic tale of love, loss, sacrifice and hope. Since finishing this story, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it days later. If you love romance, epic love stories and characters that will easily steal pieces of your heart, you definitely want this one on your tbr! I can’t recommend it enough! I don’t know if I preferred the historical of contemporary romance in that book. Because yes, we have two timelines and two love stories! This was one of the most epic literary romance masterpieces I’ve read. Idc idc. A must read if you want to go through the motions This is my first Rebecca Yarros novel, and it certainly won’t be my last. The Things We Leave Unfinished is a captivating and immersive read that introduces two unforgettable romances. The story switches between the present day and the days of World War II seamlessly and with distinct narration and characterization in both.

Told in alternating timelines, THE THINGS WE LEAVE UNFINISHED examines the risks we take for love, the scars too deep to heal, and the endings we can’t bring ourselves to see coming. But what I do have is yours, Scarlett. My heart, my name, my very being-it's all yours. And I promise I will spend every day of my life earning the privilege of your love if you let me."

Let me tell you what an EMOTIONAL experience this story was. The narration was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly capturing the two storylines, bringing tears and joy with each chapter. I felt as if I was in war torn England with Scarlett and Jameson, the worry and heartache over whether either would survive the unthinkable air raids and bombings and whether love could keep them together. I knew from the blurb that heartache was on the horizon but holy hell my heart was not prepared for what I experienced. I ended up having to read a few scenes in the book before listening because the anxiety was real. Their story is unforgettable, such a beautiful yet gut wrenching love in the time of war.⁣⁣ Georgia is the protagonist of the story, and her journey is both heartbreaking and inspiring. She is a resilient and talented artist, using her art as a way to cope with her pain. Georgia's growth throughout the novel is remarkable, as she learns to heal, trust, and find love again. Her vulnerability and determination make her a stunning and compelling character 🥹💕 Two talented chess players challenge each other on and off the board in bestselling author Hazelwood’s YA debut. i knew this book would break me, i just didn’t realize how badly. i cried an insane number of times. there was a melancholic feel throughout the book, and every little thing had me on the verge of tears. i loved every second of it. every night of our lives will be our honeymoon.I’m going to spend the rest of my life making you deliciously happy”

there's just so much i could say about scarjame. the way they loved each other was so revolutionary. they're my romeo and juliet. Did you know that our brains are biologically programmed to remember painful memories better?” he asked. I shook my head as a shiver of cold swept over me.” Oh yeah, make sure you have Kleenex near by - because the road to happiness is full of obstacles, but it's totally worth it!)I love you.” She lifted her head and brought her lips to his. “My heart, my soul, my body—it’s all yours.” It was always the love you that shook his control, and this time was no exception. A beautiful, heartfelt story with surprising depth. Grab tissues and settle in for the long haul because you won't be able to put this one down, and I guarantee you'll finish it crying. But please don't let that stop you from reading this beautifully written, emotionally charged story that now sits on my Favorites Shelf. It's truly an experience - a deeply rooted, character-based story that pushed all my buttons. The title, The Last Letter, is woven into the storyline in more ways than one. I found myself sitting long after I finished - thinking about this story and its relevance. Please avoid all spoilers and read this book. I don't think it'll be the same if you know how the story plays out when you begin. I've never read anything like this and I don't think I ever will again. This is a love story for the ages' Only with Jameson did Scarlett allow herself to simply feel. The need, the longing, the pain, the overwhelming ache of love in her heart — she surrendered to it all.”

No, I mean it’s a shame that I’ll have to resign. I do love to fly.” (I wish he stood true to his word) You want me to put my life in your hands” “I want you to put Scarlett's life in my hands, which I think starts with yours.” I love you, Jameson. Stay safe. Our fates are intertwined, for I cannot exist in a world where you do not.” Grief is a powerful, illogical emotion, and some memories are safer left boarded up and undisturbed.”Do not settle for the love that hones your edges and turns you brittle and cold, Georgia. Not when there are so many other kinds of love waiting for you." Let’s begin with a rant. I read romances for the certainty that it will end well, and if I can accept a lot of things to get there, there are a few things I don’t want to read about. So when at only 10% of the book the heroine learns her 5yo daughter has an advanced stage of cancer with only 10 percent chance of surviving the year, I can say I was very tempted to close the book, when I can count on the fingers of one hand the books I didn’t read entirely. So yes it exists in reality, even with younger kids, and yes we’re in a romance so I was almost sure everything would be alright, but I read to relax, not to feel depressed. I also think to all those who have gone through this or are currently going through this, I don’t think they want to read about the same ordeal. Some warning in the synopsis would be a good thing.

OH MY WOW!!! OH MY FEELS! Oh my tears! So many tissues from tears of the heart, tears from ugly crying, tears from Rebecca Yarros’ THE LAST LETTER. Tears still fresh and still real from one of the realest stories I’ve met. A story that still dances in my dreams. The best and most moving military romance I’ve ever met. A heartbreaker in the best of ways. The Last Letter took me on the biggest emotional journey, bringing words like honor, sacrifice, duty, and courage—the creed of my soldier and all soldiers—to life. I LOVED this romance and emotional journey so much! Sometimes I wonder if I just enjoy the beginnings, and that's why I never seem to move past them. The beginnings are what make everything romantic." How long do I have you for?” he asked, his breath tantalizing the shell of her ear just before his lips did. There aren’t enough stars in the universe for this heartfelt and soul-striking story. Prepare to be blown away by this tear-jerker of a tale told in passionate and poignant love letters. The Last Letter is THE best military romance and Rebecca Yarros’ best book yet!!! A heartbreakingly beautiful book that I will forever feel. I just want to read it and feel it again and again. There are a million variations of any situation. No two people are alike. The tiniest change to any encounter could leave us with very different results.”
