About this deal

With the movie and the first season now out, reading the manga is the way to go for fans who wanted to know and binge about this world and Tanjirou's journey, yet I may say that the anime is way better. The way they have handled the storyboards is just an eye pleaser. That is just my opinion though. Yet both media (written and animated) are worth it. It is just a matter therefore of personal choice whether or not you want to collect these volumes.

Demon Slayer Complete Box Set | Book by Koyoharu Gotouge

So this review comes from a perspective who has watched the anime first before the manga. Should you read it even if you've already watched Demon Slayer? Is it worth it? Furthermore, why would the unknown demon just go and kill the MC's entire family but barely seem to eat the flesh from any one of them!? The setup is pretty interesting. In this world there are demons who can walk around at night and feed on humans, a bit like how Vampires work in fiction but they have more variation in their design. Our main protagonist is the young Tanjiro who's taken in as a demon slayer after his family is murdered by a demon and his sister is infected. He hides his demon sister and tries to train her to be good, which is unheard of.

Of course this volume has one of my favorite characters and that would be the incredible Sabito! I would LOVEEEEEE to see more of him in this manga! I don't know what it is about him, but he is just amazing. Two chapters of him (and a little bit in a third) is not enough for me!

This bond is the theme of this series. The author likes exploring bonds between siblings, and duality of conflicting natures. Tanjiro and Nezuko's bond isn't the only one that will be explored in this story. So very shonen indeed. I really enjoyed this manga!! 🤩🤩 I haven't read a ton of manga series so far, I'm only just dipping into them, but this was super entertaining ✨Demon Slayer is amazing for adults. The storyline is brilliant. Everything is well thought out and detailed. The characters are well developed and you develop emotional attachment to them. There is a lot of Japanese culture in the series and the animation is beautiful at times. The series explores what it means to be human and the different personalities in our world. It gets pretty deep. In Demon Slayer, we follow our mc Tanjiro, whose family is one day murdered by a demon. The only survivor is his younger sister Nezuko- except she is turning into a demon! Determined to save his sister and avenge his family, Tanjiro begins training to become a demon slayer. And the story goes on from there...

I watch it with my 8 year old son. He is absolutely obsessed with it. He’s 8 but we haven’t sheltered him from much at all growing up. He watched Deadpool (over and over) at age 6 with no issues. The series is also known for its epic action, with intense fights and well-animated battle scenes. The fights are epic and thrilling, with fast-paced movements and stunning visual effects. The demons themselves are also very creative, with unique designs and surprising abilities. What is good with the manga though is that it is relatively short and highly collectible. Shelf-fillers would be very much at easy in completing all the volumes in a short while.I've seen the anime, and it is indeed and visual and auditory feast. However, there's a lot of nuances in the manga that don't carry over to the screen. For example, I've always thought Tanjiro suffered from survivor's guilt. It's pretty subtle but it is implied. Coupled with their sibling bond, that's why Tanjiro will never let go of Nezuko until he's found the cure to her demon nature. It stems from being the only sibling away from home when a demon killed all of his family and infected Nezuko. Trigger warnings for blood & gore depiction, death of a father mentioned, death of a grandmother mentioned, death of a mother & siblings, axe & knife violence. Simplemente me encantó. I was struggling with giving this book a 3 or a 4 because there were aspects I reeeeally liked about it, but finally decided for a 3 (3.5 if it were possible) since the aspects I disliked outweight the good stuff, and some of the greatest aspects became negative at some point in the story. Not my favourite manga, but it's certainly up in the top 5 without a doubt. I chose to read this as I was struggling with the anime but could tell there was a story there that I would enjoy.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (23 book series) Kindle edition

Demon Slayer, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba in Japanese, is a popular manga and anime that has gained popularity in recent years. It was created by Koyoharu Gotouge and was first published in 2016.One thing that I didn't get in the anime is the opening thread that Tanjiro sees. I understand what it does, but I didn't get HOW he suddenly got this ability. I didn't realize that it's because he can SMELL the thread! :o :o :o That was cleared up in the manga and really appreciated that because I just sort of thought it "appeared" because "it just does" when Tanjiro uses concentration breathing. Kimetsu No Yaiba starts great. Volume one sets everything: Tanjirou's mission, expositions about demons and demon slayers, the trainings and final challenges. It is a by-the-book shounen manga that follows all the beats of a tried and tested "coming of age" outline, but done very awesomely by Koyoharu Gotouge. The story of Demon Slayer takes place in a world where demons roam and terrorize humans. The main characters are demon hunters, individuals who fight to protect humans from demons and to avenge loved ones they have lost. The protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, is a teenager who lost his family except for his younger sister, Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. He sets out on a quest to find a way to heal her and return her to her human form. Me agrada. What makes Demon Slayer so popular is the combination of its epic story, endearing characters and thrilling action. The characters are all very distinct and have their own story and motivation. Tanjiro is a determined and brave character who is willing to do anything to save his sister, while Nezuko is a beloved character for her loyalty and determination to protect her family. The other demon hunters, such as Inosuke and Zenitsu, also add a touch of humor to the story.
