About this deal

Romance on the Orient Express of course takes his side because romance movies apparently hate woman. And violent stalking men are sexy. Safe men who don’t assault and stalk are boring. (Cheryl is supposed to marry one that is patient and a good family man… boring…) In Conclusion I'm looking forward to the upcoming books in this series. Each book can be read alone but I think once you read one of them, you'll want to read them all.

Now, she loves to share bits of history that might otherwise be forgotten. Whether in Regency England, the French Revolution, or Colonial America, her romance novels are much like life is supposed to be: full of adventure. In 1976, the Swiss travel company Intraflug AG first rented, then later bought several CIWL-carriages. They were operated as the Nostalgic Istanbul Orient Express by Seattle-based Society Expeditions. [15] The route went first from Zürich to Istanbul, following the route of the Arlberg Orient Express. In 1983, the 100th anniversary of the Orient Express was celebrated by extending the route to run from Paris to Istanbul. [16] The train ceased operations in 2007. In 1985 Lawrence directed Romance on the Orient Express, described as a Britishromantic dramatelevision film, starringCheryl Ladd, John GieldgudandStuart Wilson, supported by Ruby Wax and Julian Sands and written by Jan Worthington. I couldn’t help but love Freya and her passion for her violin music. It was part of who she was. She was also full of life and such a good friend to those around her. Her banter at dinner with a Lord made me laugh. Her goodness made me love the side characters as well as her. I'm loving this series. The Orient Express, the beautiful countrysides, adventure, sweet romance, the mysterious Nicholas, family, finding oneself, gaining different perspectives, learning to trust others, finding love. The Orient Express plays host to an adventure game by Jordan Mechner. The Last Express (1997 computer game) is a murder mystery game set around the last ride of the Orient Express before it suspended operations at the start of World War I. Robert Cath, an American doctor wanted by French police as he is suspected of the murder of an Irish police officer, becomes involved in a maelstrom of treachery, lies, political conspiracies, personal interests, romance and murder. The game has 30 characters representing a cross-section of European forces at the time. This is a sweet, enchanting story that will make you smile and help you forget about the cares of this world, for a little while. The story is relatively simple, or understated would be more accurate, but no less engaging for that. Julia encounters Luc during her travels, & mainly because she feels judged, has some very snobbish, citified ideas about Luc who doesn't particularly care. However, when she ends up misdirected & in the middle of nowhere, Luc reluctantly rescues her. On 13 December 2021, an ÖBB Nightjet train began running three times per week on the Paris-Vienna route, although it is not branded as Orient Express. [8] Privately run trains using the name [ edit ] On 1 June 1889, the first direct train to Constantinople left Paris from Gare de l'Est. Istanbul, as it became known in English by the 1930s, remained its easternmost stop until 19 May 1977. The eastern terminus was the Sirkeci Terminal by the Golden Horn. Ferry service from piers next to the terminal would take passengers across the Bosphorus to Haydarpaşa Terminal, the terminus of the Asian lines of the Ottoman Railways. [13] WL Orient Express

There's a little mystery as to who the Salzburg Maestro is but the reader will be able to figure it out before the big reveal. I wondered what Freya's reaction would be since she was never called in for a private lesson with him. We get to see the mysterious Nicholas again but I wanted to find out more about him and his curious pipe. I figured after four books it would've been revealed who he was and where he came from. Freya made so many friends, and I loved seeing the other characters. Friendships are always so awesome to read about, and I adored the people Freya hung out with. The side characters and side stories were awesome. I also loved the Easter Eggs in this book. Some of them, like the Edelweiss flowers Erich gives Freya (The Sound of Music), the references to Phantom of the Opera with Erich’s name, and all the nods to previous books in the series, just make reading this all the more delightful.Content: Clean. Only sweet kisses. And lots of beautiful music. I'm sure you'll hear it in your head like I did! ;-) There's a bit of mystery of who the Salzburg Maestro is. But the reader has enough hints throughout the beginning that they will guess and think they know who it is but there's enough little questions you'll have to see the big reveal at the end. And let me tell you, the ending is fabulous, just like the whole book. I can't recommend you reading this book enough. Grab all of the books in this delightful series and be transported to several fun places aboard The Orient Express. You'll be soaring right along with me. Song of Salzburg was an amazing book! Freya was trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She just never expected to find love on her journey. The plot was interesting and I couldn’t put this book down. I would definitely recommend it. I am just sad that the series has to end.

I loved this short novel, Wrong Train to Paris. I also loved the gorgeous cover. As always, this author wrote such fantastic characters with so much depth. I adored the lovely Julia who has such a big heart and often her good intentions get her in trouble. I had mixed feelings often about the mysterious farmer Luc. But, when his secret talent was revealed, this helped me like him more and understand him. I absolutely adored Luc's, Aunt Gabi. Her warmth shone and made her such an endearing character. All aboard the Orient Express for enchanting Salzburg where talented violinist Freya Winter has dreams of training under the world renowned Maestro of Salzburg and earning a spot with the Salzburg Orchestra. To avoid a life without music she must prove herself to her father or she will be forced to give up on all her dreams. While traveling the Orient Express she meets a mysterious passenger, a man who inspires and shares her love of music. The more time they spend together the more an undeniable love grows. Will their love be enough, or must Freya forfeit one dream for another? I loved how music tethered them and was their love language. I don’t think I’ve ever read another book that created a bond between two individuals sharing a passion as well as Jen portrayed it in this book. It was palatable and believable in a way that was just perfect. The main character is Freya Winter- a young woman who has a passion for playing the violin. Her family doesn't understand or appreciate her desire to be perform for others including possibly royalty. They want her to settle down and marry so that her father can leave her husband his prosperous railroad business. Freya is chosen to participate in a musical celebration in Salzburg where she will have an opportunity to be mentored by the renowned Salzburg Maestro.Next, we read an advert. A dating agency is running a competition to win a night on the Orient Express. We get to read the profiles of two people. I loved Freya. She’s a musician at heart. And her parents are…well, not. They don’t understand her drive to play. Or how she wouldn’t want to marry whoever they deem worthy of marriage to her. Freya is a free spirit. She chooses her own way and decides to not worry about much else at one point in this book. And I think we all have to do that at some point. The symbolism of this part was beautiful. And the peace Freya felt after – I loved that part. I loved Julia's tenacious character. She wanted so badly to prove that she could manage on her own. But I loved her journey of growth as she realized that she didn't always know best and needed to be patient and learn as well as being willing to listen to others. I loved her sweet, giving nature. She was so happy to see a need a help to fulfill it. Sometimes with unexpected consequences but I loved how she learned lessons from the unexpected consequences.
