About this deal

I also noticed that some of the roms I placed on the device seemed to play better than the roms that came with the SF2000 in the SNES and GBA categories. Perhaps the errors are not with the game console but are with the included rom files or emulation programs. Better firmware could fix these issues.

S6 is the slightly cheaper, simpler version which works well and gives you basic fan speed controls Refactored the CFW FAQ to make the hcRTOS and multicore efforts more distinct. Refactored the shortcuts FAQ to mention Tadpole first (easier for most folks). Refactored the slow SNES FAQ in light of 1.71. Refactored the quiet A/V output FAQ to suggest firmware updating first. Added details about the new 1.71 firmware version to the Firmware and Resources sections, and did a lot of little edits throughout the doc as well to standardise on Data Frog's version numbering (seems to be what most folks refer to). Added a note that the permanent bootload bugfix only needs to be applied once per device. Added another modification example to the analysis of Foldername.ini courtesy of wyverino. The SNES first-launch speed bug was fixed, however there is a new critical bug in SNES save-states - they're not created correctly, and attempting to load one created with this firmware version hangs the device. DO NOT USE THIS FIRMWARE VERSION! filenames, but I don't know which ROM set it expects; even the manufacturers don't seem to know, they preloaded threeThe width and height of the icon shown beside the currently selected/highlighted game in a game-list. Again, these are the dimensions of the rectangular area the SF2000 draws the pixel data into, so if these numbers don't match the dimensions of the list indicator image, the image will not display properly You can potentially upgrade the firmware to the latest version (many of the other things below modify your installed firmware, so if you're going to do some of the others, do this one before them) automatically combine the two into an appropriate .zxx file. (The source image and zip file will be deleted.)

I also threw these these other rom files on. Some were recognized in the games list but they did not play. Replaced adult claim form and notes with updated versions. Also added a new claim form and notes for a child. When the device is powered on, a "Welcome" image is displayed for a short time before the main menu appears. This image comes from inside bisrv.asd, (towards the end; exact offset varies between BIOS revisions). It's a 512x200 RGB565 Little Endian raw image file, and looks like this:There’s been a bit of a buzz around a brand new budget device that has even seasoned emulation enthusiasts a bit excited. And that device is the Data Frog SF2000.

Just drop a zipped rom and an image (png, jpg, gif) with the same filename in the same folder, run frogtool and it will The development in LED Grow Light technology is moving so fast that sometimes its hard to keep up. But there are some lights thats we should all stop and have a look at. May 2023: I can 100% confirm that the devices supports larger SD cards. I upgraded safely to a 32GB SD by flashing the image provided by Data Frog using Balena Etcher, and then resizing the partition to the max available using Minitool Partition Wizard. For safety, I kept velocity37's firmware modification (not sure if it needs to be there permanently or not). Worked just fine.Example: "Bubsy.zip" and "Bubsy.jpg" would be combined to "Bubsy.zsf" if placed in the "SFC" folder. Will personally create a flashable image stripped of pre-loaded ROMS and already edited with the most useful tools (no sound, custom SF2000 logo boot image, fixed button mappings for all devices, emulator optimisations (my current understanding is that there is already WIP on this aspect). Note: I am delaying this as it seems there are still many FW updates coming from Data Frog, and each of them seem to break the tools created to support with editing the provided FW image.

The save state files themselves contain two zlib-compressed data blobs, plus associated metadata - one blob for the raw save state data created by the emulator itself, and one blob for the thumbnail used for the save state in the UI. The exact format is as follows The "Tahoma" typeface, containing Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic and Thai characters You can swap out the buttons and d-pad (and their membranes) for ones from original SNES controllers (not SNES Classic), which gives a more retro "mushy" feel (if your replacement buttons have 3 "pins", you may need to file or clip one of the pins off)The operating system does allow for save states, as well. So you do have the ability to save and load your game play on the fly. This is a nice touch for a budget handheld. Gaming Performance both a thumbnail image used in the menu and a either a zipped ROM or a pointer to one. Collectively I will refer to them
