Remember: Using others' images on the web without their permission may be bad manners, or worse, copyright infringement. Whilst we endeavour to make sure that glass bottles are packed as well as possible we cannot send out replacement for any breakages. attaching the Inkbird temperature probe to the fermenter with adhesive tape and covering it with a thin layer on insulation sheet, is already a nuisance, let alone covering available space on the fermenter with a heating belt (and how is the belt attached ?

The strikes are over but the service from Royal mail is still as shaky as ever but at the moment they are the best of a bad bunch. If you believe your item is lost/not delivered/incorrectly delivered, you need to provide specific evidence. You really want to keep your fermentation temperatures as stable as possible, so it'll all require some dialing in. Brewing Mate Heat Belt has a variable power output thermostat allowing you to dial in the exact fermentation temperature and keep the yeast healthy and thriving.Mine are the pretty much the same as above, I have two FVs in the garage suitable wrapped up but with a Brew Belt around the base of each, individually controlled, one with a home built STC and one using a Inkbird, both holding close to 20C in an ambient of between 7 - 11 at the moment.

Items must be in a new and unused condition, complete with all packaging in the state in which it was delivered.Heat pads and heat belts are the most economical way to keep you fermenter temperature from dropping too low. Then I got a stainless conical fermenter which I keep halfway up the stairs, where it's a bit warmer. To be honest, I don't run my brew belt with temperature control and keeping a steady fermentation temperature can be a bit hit and miss depending on the temperature fluctuations in the brewery. Easy to use- The heat can be regulated by moving the Brew Belt higher or lower on the vessel although we would recommend using a stick on thermometer or similar with this product to make monitoring the temperature easier. I'm not sure if there is a technical reason for this or if it is a reflection of poor build quality.

Devices like brew belts and heat pads provide enough heat to keep the fermenter warm but not enough to warm the fermenter too much and distress the yeast. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Additional measures like timers or third-party thermostats will give much finer control of fermentation. A heat pad heats from the bottom of the fermenter whereas the heat brew belt is positioned around the side some way up. This is a heating belt that goes around your keg or other fermenters to keep it warm so your yeast ferments at its preferred temperature.

Big swings in temperature are not good for yeast health and may cause unwanted flavour compounds to be produced by the yeast. Luckily I caught this early on and was able to get some towels around the fermentor, to at least keep some heat in. Additionally, the temperature can be easily adjusted using the knob provided, ensuring precise temperature control. Wrap this heat belt around your fermenting bin (fits anything up to 30 litres), or a couple of demijohns, to keep your home brew warm when fermenting.

I've got a master plan to use my old chest freezer (whats not plugged in) in the garage and put a thermostat inside it and I've also put a tropical heat pad around the inside wall to bring the heat to the required temperature! I thought that my old bottles with vulcanite screw thread tops were going to have to be relegated to a collection on a shelf as I had run out of the old fashioned rubber seals. A brew belt may be insufficient in the cold winter months, the solution is easy, just cover the FV with a blanket. I'd recommend the orange looking heat belt, I've used that one years ago and it did the trick, I wish i bought that one rather than this.

Two different springs (1" or 4") connect the ends to hold onto your carboy, plastic fermenter, or even your conical! Heating belts are also preferable to heating pads because pads tend to heat the yeast bed on the bottom of the fermenter which can produce some undesirable flavours in your beer. That said, some complain about the durability, saying that it burnt out on first use and that the wiring is cheaply made. Perfect if you need to keep your brew in a spare room, garage of cellar where the temperature is less than idea for brewing. The belt should not be left plugged in for more than 8 days in a row, and the must or wort temperature should be monitored daily.
