Now the strap was too tight and after wearing the watch for an hour, it left visible imprints on my skin. The finish is excellent, with no sharp edges, and the brushing perfectly matches the brushing on the case of the watch.

To help mix things up a bit, different straps are available with a variety of different colour leathers (including several vegan leather options) and four metal mesh straps as well. I had a hard time deciding between the Dove Grey Vegan Leather and the Silver Mesh to match my chosen Silver Philosopher Dial (also available in Gold, Rose Gold and Gunmetal), but if you’re having a problem choosing, there are discounts and bundles for additional straps available. This attention to detail signifies the care and finesse of Scandinavian design to the Nordgreen Philosopher. The logo and ‘Copenhagen’ are finely engrained into the watch face that blends in with the rest of the stylisation and trims. The conical case adds an extra dimension to the usual minimal look, creating greater dynamics beneath the flat glass to appreciate. That constant contrast of sharp and soft, curved and flat machined in different elements of the Philosopher is what I enjoy about this Copenhagen timepiece.
