About this deal

Find the right bumper and trim treatment and you’ll get long-lasting protection. At the end of our six-week polish and wax test, many products were barely working, but most of our bumper shines were still doing the job. Well, it doesn’t smell of anything at all. It’s neutral, so if you like that sort of thing, you will like this.

Keeping your car exterior clean is a great way to take care of the aesthetic of your car as well as its longevity. Follow our step by step guide. This is a great product, although it’s a shame that it specifies a foam applicator yet doesn’t come with one. It’s one of the best for ultimate shine if you apply it liberally. Alternatively, you can wipe it clean straight after application and it leaves an even, matt finish. It lasts well, too. The shine had faded but the tyres still looked clean and smart after a fortnight of intermittent showers and fairly high mileage. data-src="https://cdn.media.amplience.net/i/washford/haluk-car-cleaning-spot1-step3-process-winter21-1382x867"

Turtle Wax Wet ‘N’ Black Tyre Dressing

Shake the bottle well. Spray onto tyre walls at least 6-8 inches from the surface. Use slow, steady pulls on the trigger as you work around the tyre. Allow to dry naturally You could reduce this again by applying just a single coat. Aesthetically I don’t think the product changes much from coat one to coat two, but I think you will see a difference in terms of longevity, which is why I recommend two coats. If you wash your vehicle once a week or more, you could get away with one coat. Tyre Sling

Not a lot between this and its Triplewax cousin. It’s another spray and leave product, and left a high gloss finish. Price is identical and both are top buys, but this was beading slower at the end. As with all testing, all I am doing is a power wash and then a light wipe down to remove the majority of the grime.product/helpAdviseTab.hbs -->

It has its place, without doubt, but there are better products for use on your plastics and trims for very little more money. Longevity – 1 Week & 250 miles This silicone-based tyre shine leaves a wet-look gloss that lasted a good few days, if not as long as some of our others. It’s of the ‘spray and leave’ school of application but doesn’t drip as much as some others and is easy to apply neatly. It did a good job of restoring the depth of colour to some faded trim when we applied it using a microfibre, too. Good all-rounder, but not the best value option. I always think it’s nice to have some sort of scent to it, even if it’s a faint chemical scent. There is no logical reason behind this and it makes no difference to how the product works. Cost per application This is another great water-based tyre dressing. Even old tyres look really clean and smart after one round of this, and it comes with a nifty applicator to make it easier to apply to awkward areas. It’s safe for any plastics, but it didn’t have quite the transformative effect on our greying plastics that the Diamond Shine did. Overall, it smells good and is effective on both trim and tyres. At this price, it’s one of the best all-rounders. Clean tyres stay shiny for longer, wash and dry both wheels and tyres first using Turtle Wax REDLINE Wheel CleanerAs I stated earlier, I added two coats to all tyres and used about 25ml of product. I felt this was a lot, but you lose some given how runny it is. As much as I tried, it was inevitable. Wash and dry your vehicle tyres. Make sure to remove all grease, previously applied dressings and any browning on the sidewall, using a tyre-specific cleaner if required
