Honestly, I don't really like the author's writing. And the story and characters are just totally unrealistic; it's clear that the author writes from a list of plot points she wants to hit without truly doing any world or character building. Just like an actor takes on a role and has to understand the nuances for how characters would behave in certain instances, author's also need to do this work to bring their characters and worlds to life. meagan’s writing has the ability to make you feel as if you are right there with each character as they go through everything. my favorite characters would have to be cameron and noah, the latter being my new number one book boyfriend (he cooks, is a golden retriever, and has a soft spot for his mom) 💌

Featuring ~multiple 1st person POV, 18 yo characters, college, twins, WAY over protective brother and friends, football, love triangle~ish, minimal steamage I know it’s advertised as a love triangle but for my girlies that don’t like the trope… it’s not your typical love triangle where she is struggling a lot…. I feel like you are going to root for the person that she ends up with no matter what. (My opinion, of course) The smut doesn’t start until about 50% in. It really disturbed me that he didn’t wear a condom or even discuss birth control with Ari yet he supposedly cared about her. They’re 18 and 21. They weren’t ready for a baby yet.Cameron and Arianna’s friendship was everything. They are the definition of true best friends who will be there for each other no matter what and will always be each other’s shoulder to cry on. Their friendship made my heart melt. I love them so much. I wish their was a second book on Cameron, so she can get her happy ever after too. Because she deserves the world. For years, I've dreamt of what college life could bring and while some things changed, there was always one constant. The angst was insane, my heart got shot to smithereens more times than once, but amongst all the emotional angst was such a profound feeling of love for our hero, he was everything I seek in my book characters, steady, hot, caring, he went above and beyond for our heroine. let me just say, the hype is real! i went into this pretty blind, not knowing much other than a few of the tropes and i’m so glad i did. this book is by far one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking books i’ve ever read.Starting out I loved this book. I couldn't put it down! I love a good brother's best friend trope! The adventures their little group went on were fun and it was cool how close they were.
