I didn’t enjoy it in the same way as The Pool House (Huset i Hamptons), which was more character-driven and atmospheric, but it was still a great read. Over the course of Nine Perfect Strangers, Frances and Tony form an amusing love-hate relationship, perfectly encapsulated in the second episode when Tony throws a grape into the mouth of a sleeping Frances, who subsequently chokes before receiving the Heimlich manoeuvre from a guilty Tony. She can't decide if Masha is mad, crazy, nuts and unhinged or perhaps shes a "genius" and really odd, alternative, intense, excessively tall and exotic. I’m a recent convert to Tasmina Perry’s books, having previously assumed they were 500 page novels about rich, pretty people who do what rich and pretty people do. After his death, a wide variety of unsavory characters run her ragged because they think her father gave her some information.

There were quite a few layers to the plot which constantly keeps the reader on their toes and I was so disappointed to finish it. I went there) 😂🤣 9 strangers go to a wellness retreat for various reasons and get more than they bargained for. Nine Perfect Strangers season two will likely contend with the aftermath of season one, particularly the ending which star Samara Weaving has confirmed is different from the book.Each person arrives hoping that the 10-day retreat will help them to solve a huge problem in their daily lives, ranging from the breakdown of a marriage, to being conned and the death of a son. Michael Shannon, perhaps best known for his role as John in Revolutionary Road, joins the cast as Heather's husband Napoleon, whilst HBO The Sopranos star Grace Van Patten plays their daughter Zoe.

I definitely recommend the novel and I cannot, absolutely, utterly wait for the next Tasmina Perry novel. Nine Perfect Strangers follows the same chilling premise as Liane Moriarty’s bestselling Nine Perfect Strangers book, with nine complete strangers joining controlling Russian retreat owner Masha at Tranquillum House. Without that, the increasingly cultish manoeuvres of Tranquillum that the guests go along with – daily blood tests “to further your wellness journey”, assistants who smile blandly and avoid more and more questions – soon require more suspension of disbelief than is sustainable.Her life is also in danger and she gets in touch with Josh who knew Nick to understand what could have led to his murder. Story was told their both point of view and as a reader you can only put pieces together follow these storylines. What Alice Forgot” is my still her favorite novel but this book can take the second place on my list. Perhaps if it had been more selectively edited I would have enjoyed it more but, as it was, it is a book I will forget by next week.
