About this deal

If your kid is a Pokemon lover you should consider Pokenatomy as it is a perfect gift for science or biology oriented kids. Even if your kids hate biology (we hated biology), this could make them fall in love with it. The illustrations and notes are well written and interesting. Favorite/Most interesting evolutionary chains: Bulbasaur, Magnemite, Voltorb, and my husband's favorite was Scyther. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places.

I’ve always had a love of biology and the natural world, and much of Pokénatomy’s inspiration came from my previous work, the anatomical art-book bestiary A Natural History of the Fantastic. It’s sort of Gray’s Anatomy meets Lord of the Rings, and lays out the biology and behavior of classic fantasy creatures like dragons, harpies, unicorns, and centaurs. There’s so much potential for educational Poké content. Another artist, RJ Palmer, draws realistic Pokémon and even recently created new Pokémon based on evolution. There’s also Squirdle, a Pokémon Wordle variant. If you’re really looking for disturbing, there’s also videos on how to cook Pokémon. Christopher Stoll Gen II PokéNatomy illustrations are now being released on Patreon and for less than the price of a cup of coffee each month you too can choose which weekly creature or character is dissected!

Hey everyone, I'll be at booth #264 at the Denver Comic Con on June 15-17! If you’re in the area come by and see me, don’t be shy! I’ll have all three of my books for sale, along with tons of fan-art anatomy posters and other goodies! The series features posters of characters such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Jigglypuff, that show what they look like both from the inside and outside. They alsoinclude detailed descriptions of the characters and the purposes of their organs and specially constructed nerve systems. PokéNatomyis an unofficial anatomical art project, re-imagining Pokémon through the lens of modern biology. Now, for the first time ever, you can get the incredible scientific world of Pokémon in print in a high-quality, fully illustrated, unofficial guidebook, designed to help people of all ages understand the power that's inside!I imagine that a lot of imagination has to go into this. When describing the Pokémon, how much of this was your imagination versus research that went into the Pokémon world? stars. The content is generally good as the author explores a vast array of biological concepts that are nicely applied to each monster. Some make sense, and some don't but everything should be taken lightly anyway as this is not canon and absolutely fictional. Some Pokemon entries were interesting (ie the Gastly line) and some were disturbing (ie Chansey's). A lot were just meh and a drag to read but needless to say, I applaud all the effort given for this project. Educational and Fun: It’s not just a book; it’s an adventure! “Pokenatomy” combines education with entertainment, making it an engaging read for both young and adult Pokemon fans. As for the ones already out, Staryu was a real challenge. The biology of Starfish is already so alien I actually felt like I had to tone down the actual anatomy so that the readers wouldn’t think I’d made it all up.Here are the links to some of the stories that you’ll definitely enjoy.
