I'd been seeing this book plastered all over Goodreads and Facebook for a few weeks before I finally caved in and bought it. I'd never read anything by Karen Swan before, but I did have one of her other books on my To Read list, so I was curious about this one. The first thing that I noticed was the beautiful cover. Although it is true that you should never judge a book by it's cover, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful snowy image and the sharp contrast of the red-coated woman. Switzerland is a kid-friendly destination, there are many activities in store for you and your loved ones at the Matterhorn, like skiing, ice skating, and sledding. Allegra is over - ambitious, and it has its roots in her past, it's connected with her father leaving the family, but for Iz her sister is just unhappy. She's hiding behind her job because she thinks it's just easier to live like this: no commitments, nobody to be hurt. But here, ladies and gentlemen, welcome Sam Kemp. Oh, he was a complex character and I really couldn't work him out. I had my doubts, oh I did, I was really not sure if I should believe him or not, although at the end, when Allegra has her doubts, I was already on Sam's side. There is no end to beautiful winter cities for Christmas in Europe. Pretty much everywhere you go there is a high chance of experiencing snow during Christmas. Plus they have some of the best Christmas markets in the world!

We can accurately forecast if snow is likely on any given Christmas Day up to five days beforehand. D) I actually enjoyed the Valentina story the most. That one had something different about it at least. There was a small element of surprise and truly I wished I'd learned more about her life. A short distance from the Santa Claus House is the Antler Academy (of Flying & Reindeer Games) with live reindeer that the entire family will love. Although Big White is mostly knowing for their world-class downhill ski resort there is much more to enjoy in the snow here to help celebrate a white Christmas. The cities are alive with festive events and Christmas spirit during December, even if they aren’t covered in inches of snow. I loved the idea of the Advent Calendar that Allegra and Isobel find in their mum's loft, and wish we had seen more of it in the earlier parts of the book. Whilst we see the sisters open the first door together on 1 December, we do not see it again until 14 December (other than the 'titles' at the beginning of certain chapters). However, I guess this fits in with how Allegra grows throughout the book; in the first part of the book, she is so engrossed in her work that she doesn't even notice that Christmas is approaching whereas a dramatic shift will soon change everything in her world. I liked the first part of "Allegra's life" but I loved the second part which emerges along with the dramatic shift.As a city completely dedicated to all things Santa, snow, reindeer, huskies, and the holidays, you can’t possibly get into the holiday spirit any more than in Rovaniemi. Ahwahnee Dining Room becomes an elegant hall of music and Yuletide cheer, serving up a delicious seven-course meal. The Grand Canyon brings the classic Christmas film The Polar Express to life with the chance to ride the train. From snow-capped mountains, sleigh rides and Christmas markets, a European Christmas is always a magical experience, waking up on Christmas morning to a fresh inch of snow. I felt every emotion and loved every single thing. The writing flows and the style made it easy for me to be visual. Highly recommend you read this, no matter the time of year. And if that’s not enough, Fairbanks and North Pole, Alaska are located in the auroral oval, a prime location to see the Northern Lights. A short drive to Pioneer Park will leave you engulfed in a winter wonderland. Visit vintage funfairs exceptionally open for the Christmas holidays or enjoy ice skating on the Eiffel Tower or under the beautiful glass cupola of Grand Palais. Christmas in the Snow" is the next book by Karen Swan that has just blown my mind away, even then when I thought that her books can't be better. Well, they can. Actually, each new book is better than the previous one, although I really have no idea how it is possible. She is the author that always delivers. Always.
